i drain oil, remove filter, clean out filter with petrol, re fit filter, mix half and half 20w/50 £3 a gallon oil with petrol, fill engine with this home made flush ( some just use 1 gallon of diesel), remove thin wires to coils, turn engine over a few times with key, drain flush remove old filter, leave draining for 3 hours, pour in about half a ltr of new oil let it run out to remove last of flush, re fit drain plug, fit new filter, fill with quality oil re fit coil wires and away you go :)

Wow Dave home made flush. I don't really want to get on the wrong side of you, but are you sure that's safe... Would not the remainder of the petrol in the sump break down the fresh oil and thin it out also it would give of vapours from the sump breather.... I use a engine flush when I change my oil it's not that expensive. You can get 5 liters of it for little money. I know though when I use an engine flush it will contaminate the oil. But after the second flushing the new oil is clean :slayer:

winns :nono: have a look around other forums for posts from oilman about additives.
he/they frowned upon on here because he kept telling people to put the wrong grade oil in their cars,
as for the 5ltr stuff, my dad used to work at an oil refinery in harwich, waste products were all mixed together and sold as engine flush

I tell you what oil additive I have used before.. It's called ZX1, its been out years seams real good. if the claims are true. I have seen a demo on the telly before of this friction reducing additive
