Hi All,

Haven't posted for a while, sorry!

Anyways, I'll cut to the chase, I have my driving test tomorrow (Monday), yes the long awaited driving test!
It's at 9.37am, and I've booked the day off work, the Punto is all ready to be on the road - just need my insurance & tax which I'll do online today. So, hopeing all goes well, I should be on the road by Monday! I am starting to get a bit nervous now, however, my instructor believes I'll fly through my test!

Any tips from you guys, other than not to be nervous & taking it slow?

Wish me luck people! :slayer:
Sooner I drive, the sonner I'll come to meets!

Good luck mate, sorry i have no good ideas for you, i worn tight revealing clothing (big boobs help) and cried when i had my test, and i passed ;) (being a woman is ace some-times).

Good luck, i know if i took my test now id fail :( ( i took mine 19 years ago )

Taxing and insuring your punto might be the worst thing you do, especially if you fail, as it will be just sat there and theres the temptation...

Howeverr good luck and take some Kalms beforehand

I'm ok about it, not nervous, as of yet...

When i did mine in february, i was polite, took my time whilst adjusting the mirrors and seat, took my time opeing the bonnet for the checks on the engine, had a chat with the tester about vague stuff now and again so i could hold concentration on the roads and doing manouvers. Oh yeh - they cant fail you if you take a left when they say right etc, unless its turing down a one way street etc, so if you end up stuck in traffic for example, thats a bonus as you waste alot of time lol! I ended up with 3 minors 2 of which im still annoyed about and am positive i didnt do (but i suppose i did if she marked them down). Oh yeh, look tidy, smell nice and dont mention your car and what mods ur gona do - they sometimes dont like that. Nowadays my instructor said that she'd been told not to make sure people over exagerate their mirror looking etc, as that mean you havnbt correctly adjusted your mirrors to suit in their books, which is a minor. (y)

Relax, and enjoy it - have fun, it really really isnt the end of the world if you do fail.

Thank you :worship:

You've taken my nerves away, well done! It's weird you should mention looking nice, as my mum just said exactly the same thing. That's right, if I do fail, then there's nothing stopping me from taking the test again. It's good to know I won't be the only one to fail, if I do. I wouldn't be too bovered about a fail, it's just the waiting list to get another test that will get to me. I'll have my Punto on the drive, but not able to drive it, without L's...

Well - wish me luck! I will let you all know the outcome.

Best of luck mate, failing is not that bad I got used to it after 3

Hope you are out 'cruising' this time tomorrow.

Steve

FAILED

Because of some fu*king pr*cks on the A2, who thought it would be hilarious to block me in the slip road and then laugh at me. :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

So what happened exactly then?

I hate it when people are failed because of the other :tosser: on the road

I mean do examiners actually have brains, its fairly obvious who is at fault but they fail you anyway, then they wonder where rumours of quotas spring from

It's never your own driving you have to be careful of, it's everyone elses. You'll find that once your test is passed you won't be worried about your driving anymore because you'll be confident in that, but you won't have anyone else to watch for the other drivers hence you actually learn how to drive from there onwards.

It can take a few attempts but keep at it, there's only a mere few idiots on the road compared to what most think. Good luck next time!
