UPDATE!!!

Got a lot of things done since the last post. Seats are in, aquired new PAS pump, also got given 4x15 steelies for it for free all with 5/6mm of tread.

We painted them up today in white to go for a rally slag look and here is the finished product :yum: i dont think it looks half bad

On the downside the speedo cable gave up the ghost!

it looks quite good (if you squint )

if your going for the kinda desert rally look, you wanna tether the tyres on the roof down, and attach some shovels to the roof bars

Tyres will be tied down as a matter of fact, to use as emergency spares

id hope so, you dont want them sliding off the roof on the way

I was gonna try and get a roofbox for it, and write 'fuel' in big letters and have some sort of plastic pipe running to the fuel cap as a bit of a joke but it got nixed

stickers on their way soon, all parts to be fitted and she shall be done

Update.

Brakes have been sorted, rear doorcards fitted, all we need now is the rear seatbelts mounts remounting and seatbelts re-attacthed, stickers to be put on and we are good to go

Although it is with sadness i post, as it has a lot of hidden problems we were unaware of, a lot of re-welding needs to be done, the suspension is on its last legs, It would need hundreds of pounds to get it back on the road come MOT time. On a car bought for 25 quid, and only costing 50 quid to insure for a week, it isnt worth it.

It will get us to prague, but whether it will get us back, its debateable

Hence we have now decided to send it to the scrapheap in the sky once we get to prague Which is a great shame as i have fallen for its rustic charms and its bill as a 'sleeper' it was a great car for 25 quid
