Hi after my a levels a few of my mates and i are planning some form of a road trip, were looking at getting a van of some sort really cheap and then driving it to its death around places maybe france.
Anyone done this before? we would rent a van but noone will rent to u21s, so primarily looking at a cheap van or people carrier and then getting like a weeks insurance and then scrapping or selling afterwards.
soo if anyone has any guidance or can give me any help then id be greatful!
Cheers Alex

just read on google that you can drive in france at 18 but you have to have had your lisence a year, ive had it over a year so fine there, but if you bring a rental car you have to be 20 but we'll probs just buy a banger then get a weeks insurance!

just buy a van and punt it when you get back

couldnt agree more with Custard Boy, used to have an old tranny with matress on the deck (double) and beanbags / cusions / pillows for softness. was great, lob bikes / boat / what the hell you want ontop and jump in, nice comfy crash pad for a few of you and have a blinding time
