Was lieing in bed on thursday night at about 1:30am when I heard something which sounded like my car door opening, not thinking it could be as I hadnt heard anything else, I thought I'd look anyways...to find a lad inside my car ripping out the stereo and another 2 lads by the car (all looked about 20yrs old) on patrol incase anyone came out! So I quickly shoved on some trousers and shoes and ran out but they had already gone!!
I felt like running after them but after examining the damage to my car I'm glad I didnt.
They had drilled the drivers side lock (obs not realising it had central locking), then bent the top half of the door away from the shell with a crowbar or something leaving a 3-4inch gap and then just ripping out the CD player which was a nice Kenwood flip down one!
I think it was planned anyways as my next door neighbour has told me twice in the last 2 months that a lad has walked in the street walked past my car looked in and walked back out of the street. So if it hadnt had been last night it would've been another night when i hadnt taken the face off my cd player.
Rang the insurance company as I'm a named driver on the car at the moment until its due for renewal so my insurance wont go through the roof and its £100 excess to get the door replaced, locks replaced and new stereo (which i told them was the model up from my old one ), but...they wont take it away until next week and my MOT retest has to be next week and Stanford Hall is coming up soon
So i'm not the happiest of people at the moment
But...advantages are...the drivers door was f****d anyways (anyone thats seen it will tell u), the drivers lock didnt always lock first time...and I'm gettin a better stereo. But i'd rather just not go through the hassle
