...so far anyway.

I've been on a 7 day course for VW at Milton Keynes and yesterday (monday) it took 5 hours to get there from London  thats an average of 15 miles an hour - just as well i had a lot of cd's.

the furthest distance away from where i live, according to my sat-nav, 31.6 miles :p ive driven further in a day, but just around in circles around my home town

ive not been driving long you see ;)

but i should be going over 50 miles to get some seats soon  on the m25 :eek:x2

and then on the 11th, over 100 miles to stanford, and 100 miles back

think it might be worth getting an RAC membership ;)

longest driving in the car was down to brooklands! bloody hell that was a long one!

will shortly be beaten by the CRX rally in the estate!

Drove to Eurodisney from Surrey in the Stilo about 300miles

A few years ago I drove to Scotland (St. Andrews area) from Staines in a 1litre Austin Metro a total of about 500miles and all in one day. A pretty awful journey and the worst part was that the windscreen water sprayer packed up and the weather was terrible, lots of dirty spray and not enough rain, couldn't see a thing.

1659km, Barnsley, South Yorkshire to Jerez, Andalucia Spain - 16 1/2 hours driving over two days.
Brief account here
Piccies here

I set the stilo computer to metric units and apparently averaged 95kph and 6.1 l/100km :)
And diesel is only 1 euro a litre over here!!!!!

Done a fair few 500 mile in a day trips now! The 2004 FF rally was 497 miles door to door, Skeggy 2004 was about the same to get there then the same distance back 1 1/2 days later (took a diversion). I get really tired when I try a stunt like that now though, must be getting old!

Epic trek, should've tried it in a day!

Farnborough to Newcastle and back in one day. Around 640 miles in total.

Things we do for football ;)

Longest trip I drove in one go (only stopping for pee and refreshments!) was about 400 miles - Los Angeles to Phoenix in a 2002 V8 Cadillac Deville(y)

Did a few jaunts to Europe in a Transit minibus, such as London to Germany (Hamburg), when I was working as a musician. Doesn't count as we split the driving.

Longest road trip ever (not me driving) was by bus. Munich in Germany to Malaga in Spain via a 2 hour stop off in Barcelona. 37 hours that took...

Not sure if another road trip I did was as long as Munich to Malaga. I was a passenger in a friends car, and we drove from Miami in Florida to Montreal in Canada, in just two days with one night stop over. That's a distance of about 1750 miles. Not sure exactly as Canadian cars are in kilometers, but we covered 2829 kilometers in about 27 hours. Never again will I go by car over that distance in only two days... :bang: :bang: :bang:

most I've ever single handedly without other help in a day would be from sunderland to the westfield car factory on the other side of birmingham, via the centre of birmingham, out the bottom, then back up again (bad crash and m6/m5 junction was worse than usual), then visit factory, get to drive one of their cars about the industrial estate, then back home again, in one day, I can't remember milage but it would be at least 320miles each way if we went the easy way thru the m5/6junction, I reckon total of 700miles was achieved that day, and I had three passengers, two of which slept all the way:rolleyes:

oh I remember now it was 660miles ish

London To Kent Then Back, approx 90 miles
Journey there = 90mins (black wall tunnel (n))
Journey back = 40mins (Testing rapid mode... rapid mode worked)

Why I rate this drive: Because I was meant to go clubbing and done the journeys almost immediately after one another and the "Tired? Take a break Sign" scared me cause I was that tired I thought I might actually fall asleep, I even saw a scary head looking at me through the side window.

London to Liecester and Back, approx 100 miles.
Journey there = 105mins
Journey back = 60 mins

Why I rate the drive: Went clubbing and raved for 6 hours straight without the use of drugs or alchohol after a long day at work and still managed to drive back without falling asleep.

Without leaving London Managed to do 110 miles with the furtest destination only being 13 miles away from my house.... Tipo refused to start for 10 minuets after 100 miles when I stopped at a cash point to buy some fried chicken, can't blame Tipo though, must have been tired from all the running about :)

I've noticed that too, that small cars or at least though's that don't 'idle' at 1200rpm @ 70mph:(

that small cars and everything other than a 'bahnbasher, don't appreciate the long distances and high reving and usually throw a wobbler, either failure to start, un stoppable oil marking of 'terratory' (typical VW thing:rolleyes: I should know!), or just general lack of power or will power to go anywhere.

also bits fall off:slayer:

Exeter to manchester, then to sheffield, down to milton keynes, down to london, back to milton keynes down to exeter via m25 and the a303

All in a day.

All done in a C180 Kompressor. Only had it on hire for 48hrs and did 1000 miles in it. If it wasn't moving I was sleeping. To good an oppertunity to waste!
