I wouldn't recommend that to a learner  it's actually quite bad for the gears. and in answer to your q beau, yes they do. Unless you buy a honda 50, they have a clutchless gear system. And they aren't bloody mopeds. A moped has pedals!!!!!!!! it's a 50cc motorcycle dammit!!!!

Your best bet is to go on some private land and try a mates geared bike. If you get the hang of it pretty quick then get a bike. If it makes your head hurt buy a scooter. It really is that simple.

Jon.

oh, chances are you can only do your cbt on a scooter, so you will need to practise on private land before you try and tackle a geared bike on the road.

Infact just read that post again!!!!! You should never clutchless change down your gears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats a recipe for disaster! it causes premature wear of the gear dogs and can seriously de-stabilise a bike. moto gp riders use clutcheless changes as:

They have slipper clutches that absorb the force and stop the back end shimmying,

they're engines are often rebuilt after each race and therefore it only has to last a race.

Be sensible, don't give learners bad habits that can kill them!!!!

yeah the title of the thread is "do manual mopeds have a clutch you have to press?"

lmao

and yeah you can ride anything as long as it's 49cc and under 8bhp.

even trikes and quads.
