Its 06.23am, i was last on the forum 3 hours prior, i am having really bad problems getting any and to sleep in the last few days :(

I dont know what to do i am at the end of my teather! I cant get comfy anymore.

I reckon i have had 5 hrs sleep in 48hrs which isnt very good

Does being diabetic have anything to do with a change in sleeping patterns? Ive not really what i call had a good noghts sleep in months. Any tips on getting a good nights kip?

on a serious note before it gets any more incrimating ;)

john: y cant you sleep? do you constantly have something on your mind? are your not tired at all? or is it just that u cant get to sleep?

give it a few more days, then id say go see a doc, insomina can kick your ass, and can be triggered by a huge life change / traumatic or very stressful event.

or get down the gym..... hour or so hard work in the gym and youll be nackered and sleep like a baby (y)

Not really had much on mind. I feel fine i cant belive it

Im washing all my bedspread in my dillousioned state   :D

Or he might end up over training, then won't be able to sleep!

If you're stress free, then it could very well be diet related, I don't want to say much more on that as I'm no expert when it comes to all things Diabetic and don't want to make things worse!

Try the obvious, you don't drink a double expresso mocho coffee caffeine epherdrine moose whip stimulant coffe at night do you?

I thought that so i opened my window and 'slept' in the buff! :D

Didnt work though :(

I'd say summats a miss.

I sonetimes get like this, maybe once a month.

I put it down to this:

It was always sunday night the day before being on earlies (so up at 6.30am monday)

Sunday is lie in day and also not doing very much.

Obviously to awake to sleep as not stimulated enough in the day, then getting stressed at not being able to sleep at all and it being half 4 in the morning and still feel wide awake

Try reading a book in poor light
That does actually work, been doing it for years and so far not blind or epileptic.
Insomnia really does suck, I've accepted that Im not gonna get more than 4 hours of sleep a night, , still bloody annoying though. The only thing that is certain to send me to sleep is stupid amounts of alcohol, but I'e decided thats not really healthy

and i don't think you sleep properly anyway... after a night on the lash, i always still feel tired regardless of the length of time i've slept for.

Don't worry this John, this will help you sleep more peacefully tonight.
I'm surprised no-ones suggested any alternative methods of getting to sleep... :tosser: ;)

actually watching a DVD (or telly) can be bad for sleep as the bright lights and activity etc can keep your mind awake which stops you sleeping.

personally i lie in bed and read a chapter of a book and i sleep like a baby (even though i have plenty to stress about right now!!)

My DVD's are my version of books, I know what you mean but it works for me.

Like BBS said earlier, I get like this sometimes, usually a Sunday night too, lie their thinking what you need to do during this week (all the stuff I didn't do last week LOL) I might resort to a couple of beers now to rectify this.

GHB, ketamine.....

Try eating some complex carbs like oats before bed.

What Complex about Oats? :p

Sorry weird mood...

To sleep i find drinking a nice warm drink such as warm ribena! (mmmm) Generally calms your body down then sends you to sleep... or is that just me?
