PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT
For immediate release -- 21 April 2006

CAR INSURANCE FROM DEMON TWEEKS

For many years, Demon Tweeks have been at the
forefront of the performance and road tuning market,
supplying everything you might need to tune, modify
and style your car.

One vital car product which they didn't supply was
insurance -- until now.

Demon Tweeks have formed a unique partnership with
Egger Lawson, well known for their range of Competition
Car Insurance products.

Now as a joint venture, we launch Demon Tweeks
Insurance, administered by Egger Lawson. It is designed
for people who take their car seriously and spend
proper money on it. After spending thousands on wheels,
body kits, trick paint, big ICE installs, etc, if it
comes to the crunch you want insurance which pays out
your car's true value, not what a standard version is
worth.

If you want to ensure that your modified car is worth
what it cost you, give them a call and speak to someone
who is interested.

For further information, please contact:
Demon Tweeks Insurance
Tel: 0845 365 2683 between 09.00 and 17.00 Monday to
Friday.
Calls are only charged at less than 4p per minute.

Wonder how competitive they will be?

"Good morning, Demon Tweeks Insurance"
"Hello, I'd like to insure my Fiat Punto please"
"Certainly sir. What engine is it?"
"It's a 1.2 8V"
"OK sir, is that car modified at all?"
"Yes it is. It has 18" alloy wheels, a huge spoiler, a bodykit, a loud exhaust and is lowered"
"I'm sorry sir, we're unable to provide you with a quote for a car with those modifications"
"Oh dear, why not?"
"Well sir, there simply aren't enough. The computer says if you fit a huge amp, Lexus lights, tint the glass and put stickers all over it then we can insure you"
"I'll get on to it"...

:D

well i'll save you the phone call ;)
called up and 1st theres no real option for modified cars on the automated system,so i went to the operator
quote for a fiat cinqiecento
a what???? oh right used in motorsport?
no
oh
transfered to another dept
a fiat what?(getting pissed of now)
discuss its turbo'd etc and again that its not for motorsport
can only cover for 5000 miles a year which might do me but not most
so we discuss cost of conversion and i throw in a value for the car of £2000
they go plus conversion costs?
im like no all in and they say they cant cover cars worth less than £5000

so not really any good for a lot of FF'ers
TBH its more for motorsports, rally cover, storage and cars like caterhams going by the phone options

did say i wouldnt mind being paid £5000 for the cinq ;)
