Ok, so in the past few days my car has started to smell funky. The mould in the passenger footwell has returned due to a leaky sunroof

Anyone know of any cleaning stuff that will get rid of mould? I've tried shampoo'ing it, upholstry cleaner, carpet cleaner, stain remover etc... all to no avail

Bleach. Mould is gone in no time.
I had to clean the Clio out witha tothbrush and some thick bleach... did the trick though

Ok, cheers Seraph I'll give that a go later.

I'll backup the suggestion for thick bleach and Domestos is better than supermarket's own. Be careful to wash it off well though or it can fade upholstry.

Quick update...

Went out with some bleach earlier, gave it a good scrub, then went over it with the carpet shampoo hoover thingy.

It's nice and clean anyway Will update later as to whether it still smells bad or not

i hate the smell of bleach, it reminds me of when i had food poisioning when i was younger and threw up in the sink and poured loads of bleach in the sink to get it down. Not nice i know :yuck:

When my bravo was mouldy due to leaky soon roof i used oxygel and it smelt nice too

If its like mould that you get on tents, there is no way of getting rid of it unfortuneatly, But there is a way of stopping it spreading.

Special products (cant remember the name) are available, i would check all the motoring shops

I'll try the oxygel stuff if it comes back, but for now it seems to have buggered off

have you seen that stuff?? you stick a coin in and it cleans it.. great, i wouldn't bloody put my hands anywhere near it... you'd be skinless in no time!

toothbrush and thick bleach.. that's exactly where my clio took it the worst
