Hi guys,
I am in need of help to find a holiday to Paris, the catch is........

it has to be free :D

Not really, I actually need some place that's runs like a coach holiday so I have no worries at all, us and the 3 youngest kids can just sit back and relax as far as travel goes. But the difficult thing is to find somewhere to meet all the different criteria.

We want a trip that lasts around 10 days and in that time we would like to visit Euro Disney for around 3 or 4 days and the rest of the time spent sight seeing, etc around Paris.

Any ideas what companies run tours like this, all the ones we have come across so far are for 3,4 or 5 days ? :bang:

STA travel.... they do runs down to gay Paris...

other than that i can't help i'm afraid.. with regards to Euro Disney.. i avoid it like the plague.

Any particular reason you avoid Euro Disney ?

I have been to Paris before and I know how busy it gets, that's the main reason I want someone else doing all the driving :)

mostly i don't like the people that EuroDisney typically attracts... i spent a lot of time just "down the road" and most of the year round it increases the volume of retards, abusive, rude, unclean... etcetc.. obviously not everyone.. but since there's such a huge volume, not somewhere i wanna be.

driving isn't too bad, but la periferique is bloody horrible, soo busy and dangerous (and those entering the ring road have right of way over those on it, which is confusing as hell) and of course the famous arc du triumph "any man for himself"

Well, we are off to Disney Land Paris in July for 4 nights - we can't wait, and everyone we have spoken to says it is great (y)

We are also taking the Eurostar, first class as well :p - I am well excited by that as well.

I take it you are staying at one of the specified Disney hotels or whatever Stu ?

Are you planning on seeing Paris too or just sticking to Disney land ?

If it's anywhere near the size of DL Florida then 4 days will be easily lost on just disney land.

Yeah, we are staying in the Newport Bay hotel, which is about number 3 on the list - we paid for the disney package, which includes Eurostar from Waterloo, express check-in, etc.

All in all, there for 5 days, and plan to just stick to Disney and the Studios - I have no intention to go back to Paris :)

i went to paris with my best mate last year and the longest holday i ever seen was 7 days, that was with a company called skills, they were ok.

it might be worth thinking about just booking to travel through a company and sorting the rest whilst you are out there as then you dont have to adhere exactly the timetable set, as they can be very strict, for example when i visited italy with my *cough* friend lol, in 2004, there was a very strict timetable and we only got a certain amount of time per city, which is very restrctive. So in the end we abandoned the timetable and went and explored on our own which was deffo more fun as you get more expereince the atmosphere and people!!

just a thought anyway:)

Hmm, cheers. It may have to be that way then, other than that we may go for a couple of weeks in Greece at a James Villas place :chin:

If you have kids they will love Euro Disney, I have been there a couple of times and will be going there in May for a few days in the same hotel as Stu.

I am not sure why somebody wouldn't like to the people Euro Disney attract as 90% are normal families. The atmosphere is really nice (and safe) and people are there for a good time. Believe me Disney are very very strict about behaviour and anybody who was abusive would be removed by the "Disney police" very quickly. The only time you might get some over zealous behaviour is in the evening in the Disney village (just outside the park) where they have late night clubs etc, but even then it doesn't even come close to a normal town in the UK.

As for Paris, I have spent a couple of weeks there on and off, but all for work. I have only ever spent 1 day as a tourist, probably not such a good place for very young kids.
