You all probably know what triggerd this =/ but im curious on every1's views... i have never used ebay... would ya'll say it is safe or not? Tbh.. from recent posts im put off for life using it. =/

I have 150 100% positive feedback, IMO ebay is completely unsafe for a minority of people with no common sense.

As long as you're careful, take your time to read the listings, and don't get too carried away then should be fine :) If something seems suspicious or unclear, then either ask the seller or walk away - plenty of others will come up :) There are some unscroupulous people out there - but with a clear head you should be able to avoid the worst of it :) I wouldn't use eBay for very high value or goods which could easily be fake, unless I could visit the seller to ascertain if the goods are genuine or not, e.g. designer clothing. A lot of it is to do with pure common sense and reading everything twice :)

Use it a lot, only been caught once to trusting and sent a cheque  bye bye money. All the rest, using PayPal no problems.(y)

I've used the 'bay for 3 years, now have 56 feedback and 100% positive.

BUT... I have dealt with 3 sellers who were total c***s... one sent me a dodgy phone and it was loads of hassle getting a refund; one sold a laptop and I never heard from him so I turned up on his doorstep one day  and one sold another laptop that wasn't as described, however I got a full refund from paypal and never had to return the laptop!! :D ;)

support? you want support when you go round upsetting people.

I have received 23 100% postive feedbacks. I have had no problems as such, i had one item go missing in the post but seller was in close contact and sent another item out. Ive only sold one item on ebay, but pulled it following someone offering me more than my reserve, which again went with no problems

Beau, you only brought it upon yourself.

I've used Ebay for four years now but only alot for the last two, 50 100% positive feedbacks and I buy and sell but only odds and ends, mostly had a great experience but I've had 2 iffy buyers who didn't read the auction listing and wanted to pay differently.

All in all it is good but remember your idea of good condition is someone elses new and some sellers don't seem too urgent in posting off items.

Yes he did mate and thats the point TBH I read these threads and feel I can tell what kind of person he/she is and when i see young ppl on here like yourself /bulldog and many others who are decent and honest it really gets my goat when i read the crap he spurts out time after time (y)

It's safe enough as long as you are carefull

There's a few ignorant pillocks on there though, one in particular who likes to ignore the people who have purchased stuff from him, yet others claim him to be easy to approach, yeah right

i still dont go round making personal comments and upsetting people.

Beau, people are more than expected to make personal comments when your behaviour crosses a line, a line way way back.

For example; Tony Blair is IMO a liar. George Bush is stupid. Helz is weird to want a pink car.

Each comment is justified (especially the Helz comment ;)) since if necessary, I can back it up with instances which support my statement.

On the other hand, you sell crap and lie on ebay about your items, you are commiting a form of fraud day in day out. When you shout about it do you really expect people to be positive about your attitude? No.

You give the forum a bad name (you advertise www.fiatforum.com on your ME page) and openly admit to selling crap on this forum "but it's ok since I am a bit cheaper than others and at least I am getting the money and not somebody else".

See that is also personal (i.e. aimed at you) but each point is fully substantiated by experience of your actions. There are numerous people on here wiser, smarter and older than myself and most importantly you and each one says "stop Beau, quit now, please" and in each case, you chose to ignore such comments.

As Custard said earlier, karma means that one day you won't know what has hit you. You tasted it with the bonnet you bought.

I will leave you with a little saying for you to ponder:

"People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones"

Edit: I was not justifying PNL's deleted comment, just chaos's comments on here.
