does anyone have aftermarket GPS? im trying to work out if its better go get a HU with gps or a seperate unit.... i saw one on someones BMW that showed a pointer on what road you are on and moved as you did (which i thought was cool)... do any of the aftermarket ones do that?

i have the pioneer avic-x1r, expensive but does everything in one unit. including the pointer moving on the map!

does it play mp3's off a dvd? how do you update the maps? is it a cd rom?

not off a dvd but off a cdrw. they are on a dvd.no expiry on the dvd bot you buy a new one with updated maps! theyre always on ebay
