nothing to do with a fiat unless you can take into account it was my punto my m8 was driving. basically we were driving down past gretna, mobile van was there on bridge, my m8 was driving my car, and although the road is a 70, i noticed he went past doing about 73-74, although he says it was 72, will I hear back from these people, or is this not regarded as "speeding" thanks

Depends if they want to play hardball or not. Some will do you for breaking the limit i.e. 71=fine. other give more leeway. South Yorkshire give a very sensible 10% +4mph which would give you upto 81 in a 70 zone.

You will find out within 14 days if you need to tell them it was your mate. Hope he was insured to drive it.

Pffffft, I've been through those things loads of times at 80ish and no problems. Fiat speedos tend to over-read anyway so you were probably only doing 70ish. Are you a local lad then?

EDIT - when I say those things, I am in fact referring to Cumbria Saftey Camera Partnership cameras and also the D+G one once or twice IIRC :)

nah mate im from motherwell, but believem it or not we were bored and decided to go to the gretna game, which was where the bloody van came in, I was just wondering what the score was with them, but if the speedos over-read anyway then maybe if he was doing 72 on the clock then he might have bn at 70, def no more than 74 though but it should be ok. is it 14 days I thought they had like a mnth or something to let you know?

Is that 14 WORKING days or 14 days? I drove past a camera van on the A38 going to Plymouth 2 weeks last Tuesday (so the 6th Dec) and have been waiting ever since! Found this though:
