how do i load it onto the tomtom? its a tomtom 'one'

Have you also got POI edit? Thats the app that transfers the database to the handheld.

Thats why it creates backups when you first connect the TomTom to your PC

havent made a backup as it hasnt been connected to the pc yet. ive read the installation instructions on that site i linked, but im still confused about it

if i copy the whole of the folders contents then it should work im guessing

I loaded them onto mine and now it takes AGES to search a destination by postcode . Dont mean to put you off cause you can always back it out and revert to defaults.

I take it you have downloaded the database so far? This needs installing to storage card/great britain navigator.

You also need "Checkpoint" from the same download site, copy this also to the same destination as above.

POI edit is the app that allows you to get weekly updates from the original site. Try this.

You will need to go into points of interest and activate each speed camera scenario.

Just copy the files (data and icon files) for the POI types you are interested in to your maps folder. No need for any extra software. I don't know what TomToms you all have, but on my Go 700 it hasn't affected the speed at all as afar as I can tell.
