Unfortunately I have to leave the Fiat community. I thank all those who helped answer my questions, it was all greatly appreciated.

The GP became too much of a money pit for me, added with the rust it was just not feasible to keep on the road. Hopefully the new owner does the work I said it needed, rather than weigh it in. What's left of the good metal anyway lol.

Rather fitting it's final big trip involved a section of the M62, the summit: [ame]https://youtu.be/g0GMUxxA8hY[/ame]

And although the bodywork really lets these cars down in terms of it rotting away (the look when they don't rust is actually a very nice design), they are mechanically very reliable (the 1.2 8v engines). Sounds good, performs well as good as a 1.2 8v performs haha [ame]https://youtu.be/hT3tls_kUTE[/ame]

Moved onto a fiesta now, still have my copy of multiecuscan lol :bang:

Just a couple of photos, there is worse. Parts I can poke through, etc.

I've gone for a 1.4tdci mk6.5 fiesta. Previous owner looked after it alot, no rust anywhere. Only found a little under the battery and that's it. Very lucky indeed.

The back axle and undercarriage rust is common on many cars. Manufacturers all made a great fuss about their corrosion warranty but quietly ignored the hidden stuff.

The Fiesta back axle and all the ares that affect fiats will be no better so well worth protecting them with a good quality anti corrosion product that soaks well into the metal.

I'm not a big fan of Waxoyl. It seems ok but over time it dries up and loses its protecting ability. There are lots of other options.
