No cover under your insurances..?

Did you see the guy who had his punto GT stolen..
i didn't see that, might be some hope then

i have no insurance that covers other people vehicles for theft.

These doblos in white are not very common no one picked white as they looked to much like a van, so if anyone sees one its a good chance its this one.

Hope you get it back!
got a message from someone on facebook told me it was in a golf club car park just 2 miles from where it was stolen, looks like its been there ages all covered in bird poo and green algae.

If it was doing 34 in a 30 it would have been found quickly. Police arent interested in motor crime, never have been. Most stolen cars are found when a member of the public complains its been parked in their street for 3/6 months and not moved.

Great news! How about damage? How did they steal it in the first place?

i thought i had lost the spare key after it was washed, until it got stolen now i reckon i left the key in the door and they found it and waited a couple of weeks to come back for it, no visible damage and they even locked it after they left it'
in hindsight i should have removed ecu after the key went missing'

I had cctv all around my unit so wasn't too worried, but it wasnt working and i didnt know until the car went as it wast set up to view at home. now its all working and i can see it from anywhere in the world. There is cctv on the main entrance but it only showed a side view of it going out and the other car the thieves arrived in.

waiting for the police to finish with it no to find out how many miles it has travelled and if the 3/4 tank of diesel is still there

The police will cover it in their greasy grey fingerprinting powder, can be very difficult to remove.
If the thieves still have the key, they are able to steal it again, so might need a key reset to exclude the lost one, or perhaps a full ECU/key set replacement. As it has sat for some time, that is less likely I'd guess. Key might be close to where car was found, might be worth a metal detector rummage around the surrounding bushes.

I wont be putting it back to where it was stolen from thats for sure, been looking on ebay for ecu and lock set none there that match. i have locksmith coming to my unit to do a new Mercedes key tomorrow, i will ask him if missing key can be deleted with out having to buy a new pair of keys.

With Fiat’s If you do a key program then you will delete any keys which are not presented when the programming takes place. So if you had a new spare key cut then programmed the old key would be deleted, that however doesn’t stop the doors being unlocked, so at the very least you would want to change the locks.
