now with the recent snow here in edinburgh it raised an interesting problem for me.
i cant see the speed bumps on some of the side streets i drive on. these are cobbled roads with those 'dragons teeth' type speed bumps with the gaps in between them.
now the only way i can get the turbo cinq over these is to go over the gap as its too low to go over the bumps even at a crawl it grinds horribly.
now im wondering if iwas to catch my exhaust on one of these humps through not being able too see them could the council be liable?theres no markings visible with the snow and IIRC no signs on entering the roads to say there are speed reducing measures as i have seen on some.
not something i intend on testing but since my car is road legal as far as the law stands re ride height etc then surely if i damage my car going over the humps at less than the speed limit then the hump would be deemed to be the cause of the damage?
come on then armchair lawyers:worship:
