Ok first off due to some reactions to my previous posts I feel I need to explain this post. This is a just for fun survey type post, that is all.

So, out of interest what keyring do you have on your car keys, and do you have just your car keys on it, do you still have dealer keyring on it, do you keep the spare key on it, etc. Again, just for fun!

On the Panda, a Fiat motor Club leather fob. Just the remote main key, locking patrol cap key, and a token for supermarket trolleys.

On the AA Fiesta, just the remote. Nothing else attached. Might add a keyring sometime, if the right one appears, but certainly won't be a 'Ford' one. Trolley token broke, so currently in the centre console.

Car keys are always kept separate. House keys on separate bunch.
Reasons:
Too much weight on the ignition key can wear the lock and cause problems. Worn steering locks are troublesome. Have know several instances where weight of keys keeps starter engaged, destroying starter. Should be less of a problem with starting operated by the computer.
Lots of keys dangling can do a lot of damage to knees in a crash.
With more than one vehicle, only need to take the keys you need. Any loss is confined to one car.
If walking from the house, no car keys at all.

Punto has its own Keyring with a generic (non-official) red Fiat badge keyring and the keys for the fiat roof bars and bike carriers.

Other keys are on a keyring together, VW and Mini keys are together but easily detached from my other keys. No keyrings as there is quite a lot of bulk there, just have a fob for Samsung Smartthings, so the house knows when I am home or out.
If like today I go to the gym and take the punto, I detach the other car keys from my regular bunch so I'm not carrying 3 car keys about with me.

Mini is keyless entry and starting, so no problems with weight on the ignition, as there is no ignition. Golf probably gets abused in this respect but then I've never had any problems with ignitions wearing.

We have a drawer full of dealership keys, VW ones are just leather fobs with a metal logo on them, Mini ones are solid metal mini logos, specially designed to rip holes in pockets. We also had an official 2012 Olympics mini so there are a few official Olympic mini keyrings as well, as mini where an official sponsor of the Olympics.
Local fiat dealer just has standard dealer branding and no fiat branding.

Can't stand anything dangling from the key while I'm driving, so no keyrings on car keys for me.

House keys on a seperate keyring, I use a (much) smaller keyring with lanyard for when out walking or biking.

4 cars in our house, each on a separate ring:
Alfa - Main so I have a couple of things, Pets at Home, clubcard, etc tags, and a Millenium Falcon, dealer tag
Seicento - Custom tag based on my sigpic
Pajero - metal 4x4 tag
500 - Captain America shield

House keys on a separate ring with no tags.
