Hi there all,
I'm doing car design at coventry uni and basically I have the brief of redesigning a car interior, currently in production, that is aimed at a specific age group. So I need you guys help to find out a popular car that under 25's drive - seeing as I drive a stilo I thought the fiat forum would be a good place to start!!!
Help is much appreciated, cheers!

Corsa/Clio - because most under 25's know sweet FA about cars. Although some are lucky and buy a punto!

Basically its any small car since you can't afford to insure anything over a 1.4 unless you're willing to lose a few limbs.

Think its obvious what I drive and I'm under 25 so it counts!

Hey dont blame me i dont write the design briefs!hehe
But it would be good if you were in that 'general' age catergory to list your car make/model, and maybe a few reasons why you decided to buy that car?!

Hiya Sheriff, it might be worth checking out a cruise club near you where you can find lots of under 25s with their cars and both get some ideas for interiors and see what kind of things people like. If you don't fancy it in real life, join CWC via the link in my sig and post up on there - if you can get any sense out of them!

Well in my oppinion It should be a hatchback with an engine under 1.4 prefereably 1.2

I think you should make a car that doesnt look too girly aswell.
There are so many hatchbacks that are too girly looking. Micra, Fiesta, Cinq's ;)

Dont know about what is popular, basically a decent head unit, space for 8" components up front, an inspired steering column (do designers still sit in the cars they have built, especially vauxhall)

I like the angles at the back of a cinquecento, although its tiny, the rear seats are positions quite high so a tallk person can sit with their legs at a right angle a lot more comfortably than some far bigger cars.

slightly bucketed seats, if your dealing with under 25's you can make them a little more difficult to get into than a car designed for 75's, as long as once your in, its dead supporting.

Worst thing is peddle at too much of an angle to the floor, or too close, so look carefully there

Make sure passengers leg doesnt collide with gearstick everytime you go to 1st

Obviously all the above is my opinion and feel free to ignore it, but if I've helped at all, then great!

cheers randon man thats the kind of user feedback i need!
anymore posts with peoples opinions on car interiors would be great, but keep it realistic we're not talkin custom one offs here, its more of high volume manufacturin thing.
Does ne one hav any probz with their fiat in particular??? Let me kno!
