Hi all. If you've never tried it and your paintwork is a bit tired, give it a go.
I was a bit sceptical about cleaning a car with what looks like a big chunk of BluTak but it certainly works.
I was talked into getting some after I'd bought a 997 C2 in Basalt Black. The paint was good but the clay bar gets rid of all the tiny imperfections like sap and road grime that stick to the car over the years. It came up like new and looked (and felt) fantastic.
I've spent a couple of days on the red Panda I bought last week, which now looks lovely, and I'm just on with the 500C.
Highly recommended. I've used the Autoglym Claybar with Autoglym Rapid Detailer to keep it wet, followed by Poorboys Black Hole polish and a top coat of Natty Boys Paste Wax (y)

I use a clay mitt, and it's really good. About 5x quicker than the blob stuff. You have to be careful as you can do it too much. This will dull the paint so I normally use it once, and then just use a few good coats of a good glaze and wax.

I seem to recall in the ‘micro-scratch’ obsessed world of auto detailing the clay bar is now very much out of vogue as it can trap tiny pieces of dirt and grit which you then rub all over he car causing damage
