got this of www.garyboys.co.uk

Be aware of a new hi-jacking scheme.
Here's what they do: You return to your car left in a car park, unlock your
car and get inside, start the engine and shift into REVERSE and when you
look into the rear view mirror to back out of your parking space you notice
a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear window.
So, you either switch off the car or leave the engine running and jump out
of your car to remove that paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing
your view... When you reach the back of the car that is when the hi-jackers
appear out of no where, jump into your car and take off!
The door was unlocked, your keys were in the ignition, maybe the engine was
running, (ladies would have probably left their handbag, with their purse,
mobile phone etc; in the car) and they practically mow you down as they
speed off in your car.
BEWARE OF THIS NEW SCHEME THAT IS NOW BEING USED!!!
Should this happen to you, just drive away and remove the piece of paper
that is stuck to your window later....and be thankful that you read this
post.
If you think appropriate, forward this to all your friends and
family...especially women!
For the ladies a purse contains all identification, and you certainly do NOT
want anyone getting your home address. They already have your keys!

ive seen this aswell,

BUT surely if your in a cramped carpark, you would have to walk past the rear of your car to get into it, thereby seeing the bit of paper?

Serin has a point :p

Without a rear wiper on the bug i doubt they'd be able to attach it anywhere!

It's one of those bogus emails people get a thrill out of inventing and then passing around. Why? who knows? probably the same folk that spend months creating a virus to wreak havoc all over the world. Mummy's boys.

quite easy, you just use a pourous paper, lick it, then stick it on the window :D

wont work in strong wind tho :p

to be honest that sounds a bit rubbish, if you were to reverse when you drive off from parking you would see this paper when walking upto your car, and if you were parked the other way round, you wouldnt see it, but you would'nt be reversing out of the parking space.

Hmmm they'll try anything...

I actually have a little story to tell about something similar, but i'm off to bed so i'll post it tomorrow. It's quite disturbing actually and it happened to a friends daughter :(

This happened to my uncle who has a nice Scooby, when he was in Bristol in a pay and display.
He reversed his car into a space, when he came back he started his car and tried to drive away, the car didn't want to move.
Luckily and mainly because he saw two lads in hoodies nearby he turned off the engine and took the keys out. Then looked around the car and found a brick in front of his nearside rear wheel.
He saw the carpark attendant on leaving the carpark and mentioned it to him.His reaction was "You were lucky they had a nice Bmw last week"
