I am on the 500 tariff and GPRS is extra. Not sure if this has changed with the newer tariffs, but I don't believe so.

3 is a completely differnt system to GSM and doesn't really offer GPRS cause they're dual GSM and WCDMA handsets. Tis very fast thou, you can get up to 348kbps (in theory, but its still fast)

If its just wap you get unlimited use for 2.50 a month

If it's to connect to a laptop so you can surf the real net then it's 45 quid for a load of MB.

And if you've a problem go into a shop for help as they have a direct dealer line to Glasglow and people who apparently speak english....

Phew! I check my emails in lectures (yes they can be that boring) and I noticed a while later that it hadn't disconnected (still had the little icon) - had to switch it off.

Ah, it's only WAP your using I'll take it?

it ranges from 1p a page to about 5p. It's much cheaper than using the phone as a modem with a laptop.

If your on orange you can get a bundle for 4 quid that would cover most use.

Or are you using the ericssons in built email client thingy?

Jim

Never had the WAP browsing working.

Just use the email client as you say to access my pop3 accounts, (T610) - it usually downloads the headers if a long email and then I can download the whole email if i like the subject. I get it to leave a copy on the server so can still get them into outlook later on :)

Did it in Poland too last year, was cheaper than texting lol

I have a Three line with

750 minutes: Any Time, Any Network
150 Text Messages.
£40 per month

The use of internet is an extra £1.50p per month for 5MB, I tried connecting to the Forum and I was told I was not entitled to the service unless I subscribed.

The network for Three is also not that bad. After experiments with different phone carried out by friends it seems the constant network failures are down to the cheaply built 3G phones such as the LG's.

Get a proper phone and your calls should be uninterrupted :)

I'm yet to experience this myself, I haven't got my upgrade yet, will do when that Nokia N70 comes out... or if something better is released before then.

3 used to be total pants, but now it isn't too bad. The newer phones have a longer battery life as well. The first Motorola I had on 3 came with 2 batteries as standard.

Apparently you can force them to work on the BT network by unlocking the phone.
