anyone else regret voting leave? May's first announcement was enough for me to realise I was wrong.

NO!

I was a leaning towards remain, but somehow voted leave.

Having seen the utterly despicable behaviour of EU since then, I'm now so glad I did.

In spite of the hassle its causing me now, it was still the best result ever; I just wouldn't want to be a part of it now.

Here in Northern Ireland, we're getting a lot of disruption from some companies and couriers pretending they can't get things here... (funny how competing companies can though...). But I am still glad we left, and willing to ride this out.

I think the vaccine situation is a real world example of how the logistics of one country batting for itself has proven more practical and efficient, versus the logistics of a massive organisation like the EU, riddled with bureaucracy and far too many diverse economies and geography etc. to consider to be able to do as good or fast a job when it really matters.

It's a good example because it doesn't point the finger at anyone or political stance as such, it simply shows how the two different approaches have fared against a great challenge that we all have an interest in trying to overcome.

The USSR proved (with its five year plans) what happens when you try to control the whole economy from the centre. They went bust. The EU seems to be repeating the same setup.

Indeed, already starting to see it with some of the poorer Mediterranean countries who are EU members. Policies that somewhat make sense in the richest countries such as Germany and France are doomed to fail in countries like Greece and Malta.
