Had the speedo replaced today, all £216.00 of it! So now the car has done 12 miles (+83609).

He was so kind as to give me the old one back too, thought i would put it in my office.

£156.06 for a Speedo (not the whole unit) and thats the Fiat Price New. Im not made of money.

ermmm there was one of them speedo head things (same as your picture), which was brand new, on ebay last week, think it sold for 99p.

Apparently there are 8 variations in the speedo (GT, ELX, SX, S and in 97 when they changed the wiring again).

It was fitted by a specialist, and can be proved when i come to sell it. Because i was bought the car, i only ended up having to pay halve and we managed to get some compensation of the seller of the vehicle (as it packed up just after purchase).

ELX, SX are the same gt has boost gauge, s has no rev counter or temp gauge
