Do I take it then that your mum insures 3 cars? Hers, your bug and the evo?

I'm guessing that you used an online company for the quotes. Done a bit of research this evening and it sounds like dodgy waters at best and worst damn right illegal.

Brokers writing on the ScoobyNet website have explained this quite thoroughly.

If you found that you couldn't insure the car for under 2 grand then maybe you should have put off buying it for a while. I have paid 1500 on a tipo/ibiza, then upto 1900 to insure an S40 and a ford KA while I found a replacement for the ibiza. 2nd Tipo cost 850 then this year found i could insure a tipo 2.0 for under 900 so now i have the car i wanted 3 years ago. Its a case of people wanting things now but unable to afford them.

Hope for your sake the insurance company doesn't do too much digging.

You don't have to overtake. That's when it's down to the drivers judgement (experience helps here ;) ) to know when it isn't safe to overtake and when to wait. And experience really does count for knowing the limitations of both the car and the driver themselves.

The bus was Stationary.. it was very clear... I pulled off at a normal pace, no rush.

the bus pulled off and matched my speed pretty quickly and I was almost infront but the Turbo chargers almost flipped over the Micra by themselves (not litteraly)

The bus man should have just let me finish what I started. I could have slowed down to let the bus man go back in front BUT there was now a que of cars behind the bus.

Only options were to continue with the overtake or to stop the car on the wrong side of the road and wait till everything passed. I chose the first option and it was a struggle.. maybe the Micra I drove was broken but I might add its not the first time i've been in a predicament involving a Micra :p

And again my question for Lora....

VIOLATED the micra in a Car Park Yet? Its not a real car the police can't give you points for dangerously driving a toy car :D

You are right, some bus drivers use the size of their buses to bully other motorists into submission. Mostly they are ok, but you always get one every now and then who virtually drives other users off the road.

Moral of the story? If you'd been in a Fiat you'd have been ok! :p

As for Micras ( :yuck: ) - ban them! :D
