Kinda following on from the how many times to pass thread, and from reading other threads.

Have you ever crashed any of your cars, or been in a crash?

I've put my car in field once, had been driving a few weeks - had someone in the back, carried too much speed into a corner thought i'd be ok because the road then straigtened out. It did, and i understeered and went into a feild. No damage, i did feel like a bit of an idiot though. We pushed the car out and carried on. No-one hurt.

Was in vivs smart when he lost it on an NSL lane. Fishtailed a bit, then spun, hit the kerb backwards and skidded into a hedge. Destroyed the suspension, steering, shatted the diff and put a hole in the gearbox. Write off. No-one hurt.

And vivs smart again, where it rolled on to its side in a car park. Panel damage, new door, new glass, new mirror. No massive injuries, but i've got a few scares on my arm now.

remember, no tempting fate now people!

Well i wrote off my first car W Reg Punto (on my 18th birthday i might add), on a foolish pulling out of a side road incident (still dont know how i managed it to this day!) But i took out both a ford Escort and a Sierra!

Apart from that nothing major took a wing mirror off, hit a chav, reversed into a pillar, and my latest racing incident resulting in a few dents!

Oh my god im a really bad driver!

Mever been in an accident that was my fault.

Someone reversed into me after trying some brainless u turn on a junction.

Someone tried to overtake me and smashed into the front of my car in a car park.

been in an accident with my dad where some bint indicated right then went to park on the right side of the road then she suddenly decided to come back onto the left side no indicator, forced an emergency stop but it were a big car and we went straight into the back of her.

Well, crashed my Pug 205 into a lamp-post soon after I had passed - it was about 200 yards from my house, lol, and the road I lived in at the time was like an ice-rink [i.e. not gritted] - don't think it was helped by fact I was trying the handbrake at the time to lock up the back wheels  - still, I managed to miss all the parked cars :O and ploughed straight into this lamp-post! Got it fixed ok though - a new front end and bonnet, and jobs a good 'un....

Hmm, that's it for me! Although been in Jules' mini when we decided to roll it down some embankment at 50mph :chin: - got out of that one alive, having narrowly missed a telegraph pole and came to rest on its side, feet away from a 30 foot drop  - car was dragged out, bonnet popped out by her dad, a new tyre on it, and sold the following week for more than she paid for it :D :D

I have also seen an Orion roll on the M1, near Toddington Services - middle lane, he was 5 up [with his wife and kids] - he went right, didn't see car there, tried to correct himself, and got it all wrong - car flipped across 2 lanes, hard shoulder, and over the fence into a field - I was first car on scene, and not nice - 3 of them had been thrown out of the car!!! BUT they all lived, amazingly....

Haha nice to see all the first time passers a little more humble!

I passed second time but I have defied the odds so far and never crashed at all. The only thing I did do was reverse into a small tree which I hadn't seen in a car park when I had my uno, but fortunately as it was only about an inch diameter the tree was the only casualty!

Yes too many of them :)

Edit: Might as well recall some..

Ones when i was driving:

Went into the back of some guy when someone pulled a U-turn in front of them... yes i was too close

Once crashed into a bit metal gate as my brakes died on me and handbrake/geras didn't slow me down enough..

Went into the back of my mate at bout 3mph's when i braked hard and had 1mile old tyre's..

Oh and for everyone at York this year.. some silly :tosser: in a Merc ML gave me a nudge because i didn't let him in front of me!

Crashes I've been in:

My mate rolled a Panda 4x4 through a hedge over a ditch and 20metres into a field just rolled it back over and drove off.

Was in the back of my mates Shove-it when it got a bit lairy in the wet on a country lane and bounced off a few high verges...

With a mate in an old RX-7 when he booted it in the wet on a roadabout was going well until we saw a police car and he decided to try turn all the way around to get away and took out a lap post..

Sure there are more but that'll do

got a bit cocky when driving my sisters nissan micra when i was 18. It was snowing and I was pratting about handbraking round corners, got it a bit too sideways and hit a kerb. needed new steering rack!

Also was in a crash when i was younger as the passenger in a new Audi 100. A loaded up escort van crashed head on into us at a crossing, ended up writing the Audi off but with no casualties!

Nothing in about 2.5 years driving I don't think, though some near misses.

Though I guess when I learnt to drive off road I was reckless - just learning what cars do though.

I don't need to touch wood as I don't have a car :)

Feb 12 2001, 5:45pm. late 70's driver drove across infront of me at 5mph a junction on a National limit road (A25, silent pool). It had just been raining lightly, was dark, so I had my dipped beams on. I was doing about 55mph and had nowhere to go other than into the side of the Honda Legend. Impact at over 30mph. No one hurt, he got a written warning for dangerous driving, I got £3k for my 7 year old Astra, which meant I brought my Punto.

Well my obvious cinq front end crash with a huge rover and evil woman.

And an idiot driving into the back of my bug when i was in Newquay.

Not bad for a years driving :p

my first car, a w reg datsun sunny, 4 door saloon, only 1.2, but rwd! so there i am 19 years old thinking i'm in a rally schlag, and tearing back to harrow from aldenham, if any of you are from that part of the world, you know of a quite nasty bend that forms the entrance to elstree aerodrome, so i'm coming up to it, in that pitch black, 90 degree left, and on the outside of the turn is a ditch with solid hedgerow beyond. oh yeah and it was raining.....suffice to say my car control at the 50mph entry speed did not keep pace with the slide out, wheel dig and flip onto the roof.......i sat there for a few seconds contemplating my existance, then did something really stupid, unclipped the belt and fell onto my head, crawled out somewhat dazed.....

Nothing while i been learning :D........................

...................apart from being hit by a cyclist while i was parked in the middle of an empty carpark

she came outta an alley hit the wing of the car, slid off the bonnet, stood up, and cycled off :chin:

still dont belive it to this day, it was SO sureal :p

30/12/02 - my uno had a thing for the rear of a mondeo  , sadly it wasnt a match made in heaven :(

i was in my dads car when he kissed a police cars ass, the officer wasnt that bothered, his sergant was  , the threat of court action was later dropped :D

i was at a cross roads waiting to turn right and stupid bloke in a jaguar spun me round like a waltzer :( he tryed to drive off  he said he was late for a meeting  it wrote my car off but just damaged his head light and bumper :(
