Well this morning has been very eventful! I woke up at 5am to see some punk smashing the rear light cluster on my car, which of course enraged me to the point of homicide. As a matter of course I called the Police, just in case they could do anything. The guy had been gone an hour when the cops arrived. They took some notes, went away and fifteen minutes later they had apprehended the culprit, and forced him into paying for the damage! I was stunned!

Maybe the Police system in this country does work sometimes, after all!

very lucky indeed... howd they find him???

u should have gone and smashed in his face seen as he smashed in your rear lights [:(!] ... then again ;)

Very good news. Can't believe the Police actually turned up, nevermind got a result. Good one!

:)Good fortune on this occasion Robotron! Not very often you get a result like that.

:pAs for you Dawn, that statement is hardly suprising, you do live up North, I say you do live up North don't you? High unemployment, housing estates, high crime, lawlessness, Government regeneration packages (funded by the prosperous South), etc, etc, and to top it all off you all got stupid accents too!

:D:D:D:D:D

ARF! He's right, no crime in my area dontcha know :D

:DHard up North, oh yeah, you got Liam and Noel, ambassadors for Hard Northerners, full of hot air that's what they are, full of hot air I say! And they repeat everything twice don't they? Fred Elliot styley!

:pYou need a reality check my friend!

Peterborough's up North anyway so I don't know what you're banging on about twincamms!! (Look on a map - You're further north than the Brummies for gods sake!).

Home Counties. Now that's the most respectable end of the country, with the lowest crime rates, no traffic, etc

This isnt going to be a North/South debate is it?

Im Northern + Im proud of it.:)

Just a quick point though....The North has the best of everything and can still getaway without charging £15 for a pack of fags, £5 to enter a city, £4 for a pint of Stella, £200 a night in a sihtbox hotel, £10 for entry to a cinema and doubled house prices. London Weighting? My arse, its just Londeners being a ponce [}:)]

Here we go...Bring on the argument! :D

North Vs. South.....

No style! How dare you!

And you can't have a go at someone as cool as Jezza. Jeans and a blazer is the ONLY way to dress...

[)]

Sando - I agree that Londoners are ponces, but then again I think that everybody up north is poor and lives in Coronation Street. In fact, there's only really a 3 mile square area of the country in mid-Herts that I really like - Well, there and Clacton maybe! :p

I like your opinion, but the truth is that the reason it's so expensive as you've kindly put it, is, firstly, there's actually employment down here, and don't forget, it's us who subsidise your Giros, two, we can afford it so who gives a s**t!

Ay up, bring it on!:D

1, Percentage-wise, unemployment is lower in the north than south.

2, We could afford it but couldnt stand living in ****-poor standards in the south. i.e 1 bedroom shoebox with no running water (in the south) £200k thank you :( ! 4 bedroom detached house with all the luxurys (in the north) £150k thank you :) !

That leaves £50k for a parking space for the year...oops, I forgot, houses up north actually (now you may find this hard to believe) have a garage (thats gar-ridge, not garaaaaaaarge) attached to the house!!! With a drive as well!!! I know, its amazing :D !!! It means you dont need to catch 4 different trains and 8 buses to get to your garage to find that some cockney tw*t has twoc'd it![}:)]

Sorry mate but dont want to argue with you about the North/South divide...North has its merits, so does the South.:)

1. I saw a columnist of Britains best selling tabloid write this a couple of weeks ago.

"If you're considering going Christmas shopping in either Liverpool or Manchester and you wish to find your car where you left it on your return, I suggest you park twenty miles outside either of these cities, may I suggest on the Motorway services"

2. I've seen "The Full Monty"
