was watching news that Norwich got a new bus station, the council said that building it was delayed because of an international steel shortage anyone heard this? surley the price of scrap should be higher if its true, or is this usal council bull?

It's actually true Dave (!). However, affecting a bus station sounds unlikely. Blame China and previous US steel import taxes which forced lower production from outside the US because it costed them too much to import to the US.

Car manufacturers have been reporting it for 6 months. I only know because we know this Pole who works for a company which does a lot of the work for the huge things (why can't i think o fthe word!) over motorways for information, signs and the new screens, they have had to limit production because of it affecting prices.

My dad used to work in steel (scrap aswell) until about 2 years ago. The chinese were buying up all the steel they could get at the time, I think its probably the same situation now.

ohwell someone better buy a ladle furnace off us and the can have more steel
in the last year 2 ladle furnaces have been built for Corus one at Aldwarke and 1 at Scunthorpe
