Yesterday evening an elderly bloke drove his large vauxhall straight into the side of em in the punto! She's a bit bruised and battered but the punto's a write off He was watching the cyclist em was following (with Nirvana playing loudly, he must be totally deaf?) and once the cyclist was passed he pulled sraight into her, with his accelerator flat to the floor. She was doing about 15 mph max!




This is the state of ours! you can see where it's bowed the strut, and totally screwed the floorpan. The door sits about 2" off the frame This is all the damage there is. The bolted on wheel trim flew around 50 foot! and the impact launched the glass from her side repeater onto the backseat. Glad I wasn't in the passenger seat!



And this is his! he drove this about 15 miles home? :bang: I doubt he made it though as you can see the water dripping down the front beam!! would've died in a cloud of steam whithin a mile?

so it's quite lucky that the garage will have the Cinq repared by friday!

Dunno yet, depends on how much of a payout she gets! we know we'll the £500 for the car, but hopefully we'll get loss of earnings and injury payouts as well, so if we do get a punto it'll be a gt! we're looking at the cinq as a run-about and maybe a golf mk2. depends on what crops up for the right money!

I know of a blue coupe you can have cheap....
Has a couple of dents, but they should pull out. Then a bit of T-Cut, and she'll be as good as new
