for all we know half the people that have been helped on here are driving about with no insurance, and we have no way to check otherwise!!!

I have 3 cars none of them are Taxed, Insured or MOT'd they are all mod'd and I drive them all everywhere on public roads at speeds of over 100mph

Who wants to help me fit a jet engine to a cinq to use on the road and not declare it?

Anyone?

Lottery winnings aren't taxable, so why would he need to declare it?!

The only taxable thing is the interest earned on the capital - which would have to be declared - and if you didn't, don't you think the Revenue know this, and tap into the bank system....;)

I would happily look after the money for him and then he wouldn't have to pay any tax :)

Only by a person who has made himself everyones concience - definately not mine - I will decide if and who I help.

How can the advice you gave cause them to loose control, that is their driving ability.

most people on here fall into this club - window tints for a start- maybe we should not talk cars on here and this argument would not exist. :D

If insurance companies want to do you over they will.:(

Steve

thats fine mate... knock yourself out, that was my opinion as u have yours.

and isnt it obvious that the advice i gave wouldnt cause them to lose controll? or does everythin have to be spelt out?

all i was saying is that i wouldnt help someone get more power from a car by modifying it, if he had told me he wasnt gonna declare the mods afterwards! nothin more, nothin less.

hyperthetically if your good m8 came round said got induction kity give hand to put on. and you asked your delcaring and he replies "nah they wont know anyway" would youthen not help your good m8 and tell him how he is breaking law and that you want nothing to do with his mods unles he starts to delcare ?

just simple question to gain if peoples vues apply to good personal friends aswell as fiat forum users they dont know.

personally my answer is i have allready helped my m8 do several things. to his.

ps not directed at you mase just yoru post gave me the idea for question

Paul, thank you for repeating on the forum something which I told you in a PM. I was under the impression that the P stood for Private, not Public. If however you wish to discuss my refusal to reply to your messages here, then so be it:

You were told that I would not respond to any more of your messages as this is either the third or fourth time you have caused trouble on the forum requiring a moderator to discuss the event with you privately. You either do not read the details of these messages or choose to ignore them, as is clear from your responses. If the messages have no effect or use, then I do not see the point in using my free time to write them - hence my refusal to reply. Should you have issues with further posts then report them, and a thread will be generated in the moderators area for discussion.

Paul, what you posted in the turbo thread is in breach of the terms and conditions of this forum.

Like it or not, the member in question also has certain rights, which in this instance you chose to disregard, even after this was pointed out to you.

Should you choose to carry on in this manner, violating the terms and conditions you agreed to when you signed up, then the moderating team have an obligation to respond. This can take many forms, the first of which is to delete posts. The last resort is to exclude members.

The path of events is in your control.

Pete, because my replies don't agree with what you're saying, that doesn't mean I haven't read what you say, it means I don't agree. That's all...

This can take many forms, the first of which is to delete posts. The last resort is to exclude members.

If you're going to ban me like you're threatening for wanting our members to know about important things like this, for wanting my friends and mates to know somebody's intentions not to insure modifications he is asking for advice on how to do, ban me. I would rather lose my place on this forum then accept I can't warn my friends and other members about somebody who has shown he won't insure modifications a few days before. I am not telling anybody not to help him, I am wanting people to be informed to make their own choice, nothing more.

My personal answer is I would be unlikely to ask someone about insurance but if they told me they weren't going to bother I would make my displeasure known quite clearly. It's also difficult to know where to draw the line between knowingly not declaring something and innocently thinking it won't affect your premium.

For the record, my mods are insured :)
