not quite sure if this should be here, but here goes

in my immediate family we have a variety of cars, among which my younger sister has a honda jazz, and very pleasant it is too, except on thursday when white transit van man decided to punt it up the backside, whilst she was stationary at a traffic light. after much back and forth, during which he didnt want to give his details, and sister t, all 5' 11" of her towered over said driver and "demanded" details etc, she got them and drove away with the jazz's bottom somewhat spanked. as she was flying out to tanzania a few hours later, she left it to me to get insurance quotes for the repairs. i went to honda chiswick, and what a revelation it was.

a dealership where you are greeted and treated politely at all times by all the staff, dealt with promptly, apologized to for even the slightest perceived delay, offered coffee and biccys, brochures on every product at hand from lawnmowers to power boat engines (that was a bit odd seing an inflatable in there!) and a courtesy car without asking! a properly printed out quote detailing everything, not some vague handwritten rag.

so what am i saying? there is a better way, as a certain bank tells us....i'm hooked, and whilst the products may not be the cheapest out there, they are well engineered and well looked after by a workforce who have customer care built into their everyday practices, not tacked on as an afterthought, and as we see on other parts of the forum, makes a huge difference to the ownership experience

i'm seriously considering the power of dreams.........

thats cuz the cars are SO boring they make you fall asleep!

Bull! The type R may be the common choice amoungst certain people in our society but it's not a boring car.

Nor is the accord. Or the Jazz for that matter,

the type r has cetain aspects, but its based on the 3dr civic, which is :p

the accord was interesting for about 5 mins, but now its just another repmobile! less boring than the old one

ah, the jazz, it is boring, it just has some interesting features;)

the main thrust of the post was the quality of service i got at honda, as opposed to the ramshackle effort in a lot of fiat dealships reported in this forum. i'm sure most people would trade a little "flair","quirkiness" and the fixitagaintomorrow tag for a proper shot at excellence. yes some of the cars are a little, staid shall we say, mr clarkson, et al have labelled them "blue rinse" specials, though i would love to see a granny tearing up a local supermarket carpark in a type r civic. the jazz is now 6 months old, has done 11000 mainly motorway miles, and is mechanically perfect, just what my sister wanted, though her son has found a "pimp my ride" bodykit for it!

5'11 in a Jazz? Does it come with a Honda branded shoehorn? :D

btw i'm 6'2" and i'm fine in there, along with the new panda (without sunroof) and an uno (with or without sunroof) it's all about packaging and finding that perfect combo of seat and wheel adjustment

I don't think Honda's are all booorin'

Was havin a discussion with a friend the other day about the lower model's in the range looking a bit poo at not comparing at all to the top of the range models.

But when I first saw the New Accord I really wanted to GTA the driver and take it for a spin... it was rreeaaallly nice lookin' specially the rear light cluster arrangement and its standard body kit was smooth.

I think I saw a top of the range JAzz Yesterday. someone either kitted it or it came that way I dunno but it had a Xuast and it was hard to believe all that noise was comin from such a small car :p
