Question Roof Boxes?

Does anyone use a roof box?

I need to get one and I've spotted a set of roof bars cheap locally. Do all roof boxes fit on all roof bars or do Thule roof boxes need Thule roof bars?

Roof is a really funny word if you think about it..

Re: Roof Boxes?

Yeah, it's a pretty universal system. Most modern roofbars have a fairly rectangular profile as do the brackets from most roofbars. More expensive "aerodynamic" bars have a more curved shape but the same brackets can be used.

Only issue IIRC is a large and a small size...wish I could remember specifically, stu mentioned something before about his Ulysse I think. We use a cheapy halfords rood box and thule roofbars.

Re: Roof Boxes?

Using an oldish halfords roofbox here, bought back in the days when the perents had a Tipo (that was 10 years ago ) and I got a set of Cam roofbars for the brava that the roofbox fits onto fine. Just needed to make new holes though for the bracket to fit through.
