in one particular instance I can think of I don’t trust the cleanliness of their kitchen,

i had a mate like that used to take my own cup to his house.

It is easy to make coffee like starbucks go in the garden get some dirt put it in a cup and add hot water.

coffee should not have any syrups added not even milk or sugar:yuck:

I had a chance encounter the other day. An idiot in a Corsa driving on the wrong side of the road. I had to stop to avoid him/her/it and he/she/whatever looked me gormlessly, noticed the camera, mouthed words I couldn't quite lip read as he/she/it was already past. I carried on as normal to work. About five minutes later there was a knock at the office door. It was the twunt from the Corsa demanding the video from my camera be deleted "of else". I pointed to the CCTV camera over my shoulder and asked "or else what?"

He/she/it made some Barbary Ape noises and left.

I hadn't given it a second thought, hadn't saved the clip; but I have had to now in case anything happens to my car or I as proof of premeditaion. I've also had to let my employers know in case anything happens on site. :bang:

I got a call from head office this morning. They have reviewed the CCTV, reported it to the Police and let me know the incident number.

On all UK roads. Unless you are overtaking or passing an obstruction, KEEP LEFT.

You do seem to come across such incidents

The standard of driving..and vehicles around here seems poor (the roads policing BBC series backed that up beautifully)

Thankfully they can only be a menace within 5 miles of their residence.. ;)

It's such a regular occurrence I didn't give it a second thought until it knocked on the office door.

During lockdown the standard of driving was terrible. Idiots thinking the roads were quieter so the Road Traffic Act no longer applied to them. I had to collect some samples from Manchester Children's Hospital and take them to the UEA Hospital Norwich and every roundabout had broken signs, smashed traffic lights, knocked down street lights, skid marks and tracks running off the road and debris from smashed up vehicles. It wasn't as if the NHS were busy enough dealing with Covid 19 without having to scrape the remains of Darwinists from the tarmac.
Take any "B" road and you had to deal with idiots taking racing lines round blind bends. :bang:

I'm going to stop there before it becomes a rant. :D

Social media has caused "everyone" to take everything literally and have zero common sense. It all has to be spoon fed and they still don't get it.

people have always lacked common sense, social media just makes them easier to spot, and makes it easier for them to group together and convince each other that pink is orange

Decided it was time to run the TA today after weeks of inactivity. It was a little rough on start up but soon settled down, so off we went. Set off and decided to run up out nearest un-surfaced road its a mile or so long nad surprisingly rough. Back onto tarmac and away we fo again. After a while I noticed an annoying tinny rattle. I wonder what is falling off. Thinks "AH its started falling to bits after just 5000 miles"

Drove a few more miles touching this and that to no effect and decided Pandas do rattle after all.

After a while more I checked the door pocket for loose stuff - nothing - and decided to give up. After knocking onto the keys and gubbins thereon while fiddling about, the rattle stopped and we went back to silence.......

I really should know better.

I'm actually booked to look at 308 and C3 Aircross tomorrow.

I'm still a bit on the fence really but packing the car today for our first family trip since last year didn't half set in my head I need a bigger boot. (Will say we pre-booked a limited access activity, didn't just turn up at a beach to join the covid party).

This is what a days of worth of stuff looks like..not a weeks hol which we have booked for next year..one day. So lunch, change of clothes, some coats, a pram cos he's not old enough to walk for 4 hours.

We had done a small shop..hence 2 packs of pombears..but otherwise that's just normal day trip things plus my usual footpump, tools etc.

I genuinely think I could get that much stuff in the back of my golf cabriolet which is saying something considering its not a family hatch back.

When we go away and drive over to france and beyond, we usually have 1 large suitecase, two carry on suitcases and a large duffel bag. all packs into the boot with other odds and sods around them, loose shoes and carrier bags, somtimes I might throw my laptop bag in as well which is pretty big.

That is just the boot without any of it spilling into other areas. The boot floor is actually large enough to take the foot print of a large dog crate laid flat on the boot floor.

Edit, apparently there is 90 litres difference so about the size of a large-ish rucksack (yours being larger) That said if you are packing push chairs and such the odd shape of things like that can really eat into the boot space if they don't gel well with the space in the car.

Travelling back from work today..
Following a Qubo 'trekking'

The bottom of its silver bumper plate was an Impressive distance from the tarmac..
But below it was 100mm-4" of 'structure'

And of course being a PSA product its got Massive rear spring pans.. not much of an off.tarmac prospect..

Let out another vehicle at a traffic light junction.. a brand new Skoda Kodiak..
Was amused that the S has an accent..

Looks like a V5 koda

Obviously full of fantastic 'safety'kit as it was then 2 feet off the Qubos rear all the way through town.. :(

Realised when it was back in front of me..
The Qubo was registered a week before my punto :) only 5 letters apart.!

It'll fit two large suitcases on the boot floor, I'd then have space for other stuff on top or would if I removed my tools..

The issue is most baby stuff tends to be large volume low density. Apparently we also need a lot of it

So you can crush it in...but your lunch comes out flat..or a toy gets broken or you pop a ball...the coat ends up on the wheels of the pram and ends up filthy. That Craic, my main requirement at this point is a false floor, the stuff would fit so much better if there wasn't a foot pump and tools in there..but the day you take them is the day you need them.

The C3 has more boot space than the Golf, the pram chassis is just a proper space hog, but after that he'll have bikes...and other hobbies.

Edit...apparently I have random boot photos so why not add one...

Other issue is you can't really fold the seat as large part of the 60/40 is behind the child seat and I'm too tall to swap the seat around to the other side of the car behind me.

So yeah sliding bench would be nice.

Went and had a look round a 308 today. I fit in the front, can see the dials over the wheel and the interior is a nice place to be very airy indeed with the glass roof.

Having fitted myself in the front, then immediately sat behind my own driving position, surprisingly more knee room than current car (most reviews say it is tight)..but head is on the roof so no adult rear passengers, that's that one out then.

So C3 Aircross, more immediately at home given it's 90% C3 inside though clutch pedal is offset to the right. It's also very clearly a cheaper car inside. But same deal got myself installed in the front then moved to the back. Initially a bit disappointed as not much more space than 308 except head room. Then realised previous incumbent had left rear seats fully slid forward. Slid the seat back and rather than the single finger width of space you get in my current car..3 inches if not more of knee room and more head room..and the rear seats can be reclined individually.

Boot wise 308 is bigger until you slide seats forward on the C3 and 308 has no false floor both are bigger than what I have.

Not the most exciting criteria to be judging by but seems I have a choice of same cabin issues as I'm currently having but in a nicer cabin. Or something designed with a bit more thought but that isn't as nice subjectively.
