Received the reminder of tax due on the Panda. £145.

The wife got hers for the 500 too, £0
This isn't a universal benefit though..the Citroen has a pound shop USB port so barely provides enough power to maintain battery charge in the same circumstance.
I have one of those.
Complete rubbish. Reminder to me - fit that voltmeter with USB that you rave about.
You'd probably find you have a USB 2.0 port capable of delivering 0.5 of an amp. USB 3.0 is better, 3.1 is better again, USB C better again.
When manufacturers spec cars they'll be the cheapest in bulk unfortunately!

Thing is, though, that Android in particular goes out of date quicker than your car... most Android phone manufacturers don't support vanilla Android updates, so you're reliant on the manufacturer support, which very often is cut within a couple of years.
iOS is better, but I had to grab an old iPhone 5 from my office drawer after dropping my business iPhone 7 this week. That is now on an ancient OS which can't be updated, too.
No system is perfect.
One of the most infuriating things about my BMW - the USB which interfaces with the iDrive is only 1 amp. Which means I can drain my iPhone.
A friend of mine recently traded in a 2011 Seat Ibiza due to it being riddled with electrical faults. Out of curiosity, I kept an eye out for it on autotrader, and I found it this morning: the dealer who took it in part exchange gave him £2k for it, then sent it to auction. A used car dealer has now bought it, and stuck it up for £3295: talk about poor value for money!!
The house next door (we're a semi) is owned by a housing association. Despite this, each tenant seems to carry out lots of DIY work, so we get frequent building noise. More work gets done each year than we've done since 1995.
Last week, a day of hammering to lift the wood floor in a bedroom, followed by the hammering of the gripper bars as carpet was laid.
Yesterday, vans arrived, and lots of hammering.
Today it became clear, as a new bathroom suite was delivered. (The previous tenant put a new bathroom in about two years ago)
I'm amazed at the amount of noise created in removing a bath.
At one point today, there were 5 vans, one of which came with an apprentice, so at least 6 people. Their bathroom is the same as ours, three people would be crowded, only two could work in there at the same time. So where are the rest of these guys, and what are they doing? The expense and inefficiency.
The loo is a separate room, but that's not been attacked yet, as the new one is sat on the drive. Hopefully it will still be there in the morning!
On the up-side, the noisy woman has been much quieter, as it is not good to keep screaming and swearing at husband and children with all those workers around.
What's baffled me today?
Someone disliking a post I made 11 years ago...
I assume they've dropped into on search rather than they've spent 11 years on the fence and finally decided they didn't like it.
