There was LOTS of FORZALIVE info on there that I never saw on my daily visits to the FiatForum :(

And a followup survey..that I wouldnt have known existed... :/

The survey was emailed out to everyone who attended before being posted on facebook, iirc

Returning home from Banbury, queue of traffic. Overtaken by a motorcycle, who promptly cut in and braked to allow someone out of a side road. He shortly afterwards slowed again to allow someone else to join. So, he's giving up MY right of way, without asking permission.
Then he overtook the next car, and shortly afterwards slowed again, nearly getting hit by the car he'd recently overtaken.
Repeated for the next three vehicles.
Then he overtook a small van, that had previously been following the one in front too closely. A clue there as to the risk. Almost immediately, another opportunity to allow someone to join, so he braked, and got hit, gently by the van.
So now he's on the ground, damage to the bike, and thinking it is the van driver's fault.

Took over an hour, statements to the police, etc. My statement, with detail on each of his overtakes, left policeman wondering whether to leave it to insurance, or report motorcyclist for careless driving. Hope so.

It'd be good if you had a dash cam portland_bill , sort of like a David Attenborough of the road .."and now, we see the young motorcyclist again overtaking" lol

Plus would help in getting bad road users prosecuted for their actions

A couple of days ago, the central heating boiler started making squeaky noises. Sounded like the fan motor was dying. Boiler was new in 1995, so 22 years old. Likely to be very expensive to replace whole thing.

Google found lots of options.
A new genuine fan, £158.
A refurbished one with a 1 year warranty, £50 exchange.
Lots in between, including several aftermarket ones at £60. So not too bad after all.

Then this morning, all quiet again. So a dilemma.
Do I leave it, and it fails when the weather is cold.
Do I get a new one, and never have to use it.
Do I replace an apparently good fan.

Is it just me or are the people who use the M25 are really into theoretical Quantum Physics?

"Scrodinger's light bulb".

If I have a burned out headlight but if I ignore the warning on the dash and carry on do I still have a burned out headlight?

I think you might be erroneously crediting them with actually noticing a warning light, or even thinking at all.

At last, got around to having a look at the occasional squeak from the front brakes. Assumed, as usual, pads starting to stick in the carriers due to dirt and rust.
Assumption was correct. But, retaining pin on one side also very rusty, and tiny 'R' pin seized in. Broke 'R' pin, punched retaining pin out, took to bench to clean up. Then thought, don't be silly, and went off to Euro to get new ones.
Carriers cleaned up nicely with cylindrical abrasive in the dremel.
Temporary fix. Really time for new discs, not bad I suppose, 11 years and 63,000 miles. Disappointing these days, have previously had discs last over 100,000 miles, pads getting more abrasive and discs made of cheese.
New ones ordered, do the job again next weekend!

If fan reasonably easy to get at try lubricating the shaft?
New boilers do not last anywhere near 22 years, keep it alive if possible.

Hi,
I think discs can be found far more easily and cheaply, since the advent of internet shopping , thankfully.

Some of them were incapable of counting as high as two or even four when it rained.

That reminds me I have to pay the toll. Dartford tunnel. Third gear all the way. Had a chap in a Ford Galaxy blast his horn a few times so I backed off and floored the old girl again. :D

It's nice to do something childish every once in a while and it could be the last time I get to in the mighty Bravo.

Not all cars have the warning light - for example our Fiat has warnings for all lights, our Skoda doesn't. However it should be fairly obvious when driving in the dark if you're not one of those who checks things like lights regularly.
