What's made you not grumpy but not smile either today?

Stretching their legs and losing their rag with one another - if I had fat wheels on my Panda like Vettel has on his Ferrari I could use them as a cheeky rebuke too [emoji36] ?
Oh yes I forgot to mention the fine display of German road rage[emoji595] [emoji594]
And they say Germans don't do road rage,ha
Maybe they don't do it , Germany to be fair.

On my way home from work yesterday it was perfectly normal and uneventful. I reached the A47 dual carriageway and got up to the speed limit. A short time later a pillock in a generic pratmobile overtook in a cloud of black smoke. A moment after that a graphite grey BMW also overtook.
I didn't think anything of it at the time but about a mile later the BMW and pratmobile were in a layby. The BMW was an unmarked traffic car and the passenger was stood at the entrance waving for me to join them.

I stopped, got out and asked if there was anything wrong.

"Do you realise that street racing is a serious criminal offense?"

No "good morning sir, thank you for stopping" and from the body language he was not in the best of moods. Probably close to the end of shift and not wanting to deal with the situation.

"Yes officer. It's also bloody stupid".

Got a smile for that.

"The gent' we have stopped there suggests the reason he was speeding was because he was racing you".

"Oh. Did you see us "racing"? If you would like the memory card from my camera it will show you I had got up to the speed limit and he passed me. Not being rude but if I were racing that pile I would ten miles further up the road".

Got a chuckle for that.

"Ahhhh, it's okay. Can I take your details just in case we do need a clip from your camera as well as the one in our car?"

Gave the officer my details and left them to it.

So I decided to re-yellow or de-Abarth my Bravo yesterday afternoon. Thanks to living Jeremy Kyle Street sleep wasn't an option.

Finished by four so all I had to do was shower and get ready for work.

On the way in my Bravo felt a bit odd. I put it down to the return of the Bangle Grinder wheels but after a few miles I knew it was more than that.

Stopped for petrol and noticed two of my valve caps were missing.

Between my leaving my Bravo just after four and heading out to work around twenty to six my tyres had been let down from 32PSI to 19 and 18PSI. :bang:

Did you catch who did it? You possibly need a camera on your drive!

The four thoughts that go through someones mind when tying to buy a car from me (or any enthusiast I'll bet).

Oh this chap has a car for sale. I'll troll the car so I can make a ridiculously low offer. He'll think I'm doing him a favor.

Oh crap! He knows what he's on about and how much it's worth. I'll say I'll buy something else.

******** he knows how crap they are and basically made me look stupid.

Now he won't sell it to me even if I offer full price because he knows I am a twunt and he cares more about the car than the money.

I'd rather keep the car or literally give the car away to a charity than have some idiot own something I have cherished.

Get these, great but a PITA for weekly pressure checks.

Stops people letting it down unless they happen to have a tiny tiny Allen key

Nice idea but I find a squirt of Liquid Ass into the valve before placing the cap on works as well. It sprays out when they let air out. ;)

I met the person who owned my old mk2b before I bought it. I'd had a hunch about the previous owner, but it was good to have it confirmed, plus to find out why they only had it about 8 months!

I remembered her name from the V5C, and a while back I started seeing someone with the same name on the "people you may know" thing on Facebook. It turns out she does my local slimming world, hence me seeing her on the mutual friends bit. I went to my villages annual vintage rally on Sunday, and there was a slimming world stall there, so I asked her if she had a grey Punto a few years ago, explained that I had it after she traded it in, lol! She only had it about 8 months because the need for a bigger car arose, so she traded the Punto in for an astra, lol!

was doing some work on my estate, rear underside
some seriously scabby bolt heads - so gave them a good hammering before attempting to slacken..

LOADS of crud fell down.. dodged the worst of it..

failed to undo the necessary bolt..so used a different technique..
finished job.. (y)

went to sweep / tidy-up,

and found this collection..

They seem to treat them like throwaway cars!

That's because they are learner cars do a lot of miles take huge amounts of abuse no normal car would take and are cheap to begin with.
A company like the AA will buy these cars in the hundreds and expect to write off the whole values in depreciation for tax purposes, any money they make selling off what's left at the end is considered a bonus.
