So because it's a new season, new engines and rules, I thought it's time for a new thread.

I'm really looking forward to the new season, all the changes have made it unpredictable, I had got bored of the Sebastian Vettel show for the past 4 years...

The new engines sound ok, a bit quiet, but the turbos don't sound as bad as people where making out the would be (no dump valve tish though) so if they could make them louder :D

My head is hoping Hamilton wins this season, but my heart wishes Button can win..

But tbh as long as it's not ze german

I'm a massive f1 fan, so I can't wait, love the first race in Australia as it's the only time the whole field knows nothing about each other or themselves.

Obviously been British if like Hamilton or Button, but I think either Alonso or Kimi could be up there this season.

Been counting down the days! Have my alarm set ready for the early wake up

I'm a huge Vettel fan! But backing Kimi this year too :)

They were comparing the engine noise to a lawn mower on the radio this morning, makes me wonder what they cut their grass with...

A guy I work with has a son that is the number one on Jules Bianchi's car so I would like to see them (Marussia) do well this year with the Ferrari engine.

Should be an interesting season, not sure I believe all the hype over Red Bull and the so called issues they have had, it seems maybe they are holding something back. Will be nice to see somebody different win it. My money is on Hamilton :)

Looking forward to the new season but not really liking the quietness of the new engines although the cars do look more of a handful. I try to get to a couple of races each year (so far only Hungary booked)so maybe this year I will be able to hear my mates speak.as always I will be hoping for Ferrari victories ;-)

Watching qualifying on BBC now, god they sound flat. Think they need to turn the on track mics up a bit as you can barely hear them over the commentary.

I like the noise of blown 6 (mmm rb26) but yuck.

See those Mondeo ST24's that drive around Canvey Island with no exhaust?

Are these the ones with fury dice, Tall Paul's Summer mix cd in the stereo and a footwell filled with empty cheap Supermarket own brand energy drink cans?

Yes.

I am aware of them.

That what the new F1 cars sound like that is.

I think they're appealing the decision, what should it matter how much fuel flow there is in an hour, as long as he finished and there was fuel left at the end!!

It's like Hunt being disqualified for his car being wide!

Leave Vettel alone, he's brilliant, just been given a worse car than last year. Rosberg was leading with the same kind of time margin Vettel had last year but no one booed him!

Because everyone was bored of the Sebastian vettel show. And everyone will become bored of the Rosberg show.

I say give everyone an identical car and see who's best then

Who will build the identical car? Why would any manufacturers compete if they cannot show case their technical excellence? That and there a plenty of one make series around if that floats your boat or even tickles your pickle.

We'll see if the Rosberg show continues, mclaren have already had a better season than 2013, the red bull has potential too, and ferrari may well be able to pull something together. All in all it seems promising compared to the disastrous testing things have moved a lot and will continue to.
