maybe not the right forum but i thought someone may know... lol

I wondered if anyone knew of any software that will make a .cue file from a list of mp3s? has to be from a list of Mp3's and not from the CD (so i cant use EAC)

cheers! (y)

Just a daft question but why would you want to do this?

A cue file is only there to provide information about an image file usually the .bin so that you may burn said file to a CD.

It contains the track information and and how it should be burnt etc.

So what exactly is it your wanting to do?

in some cases.....

cue files in audio terms can be used to reduce the gap u have between tracks..

like most dance/trance etc cds that each track is mixed into the other its a bit poo when theres a 5 second gap...

i downloaded an album but its not in mp3 + cue format.. because the donut that ripped it off the cd did it as sep files instead of one big mp3 and a cue file.

anyway back to the topic lol

anyone done this?

i dont know of a program to do it but i'm 90% sure when burning it you can reduce the wait time.... i use nero which i know does it... if you insist on having a cue file write it yourself it isnt hard...

.. okay i just thought about it and this is stupid.... you would have to make one for each mp3...just use nero... or an audio editor like Sound Forge and edit all the mp3s together

the gaps in nero are a bit restrictive.. if you set it to the smallest gap there is still a noticable pause inbetween tracks...

i can merge the tracks into one. thats no prob. its just the cue file... it would be excellent if there was an app that generated one for you based on the sep tracks... i may have to manually make one myself... bit of a bugger :(

if anyone has any info id apreciate
