i will be going to hospital tomorrow for a echo scan of my heart (was in intensive care last year due to asthma attack, and doctors found heart murmur). so i will be going tomorrow to see if i have a problem

they are also talking about a cardiograph (not sure if thats the same as an echo??)

I sympathize - my daughter has asthma - had to take her to hospital on Friday night. Good luck with the cardiograph and echo, hope it all turns out ok, at least they recognised there was a problem and are sorting it out. I like the response about the 'Panda Gods' - I'm sure they will be smiling on you.

A echo is the same thing as the scan for pregnant women, so doctors can see the baby. i have been told the gel will be very cold
If it needs a valve job, I can do them on a cylinder head - it's the same principal, innit?

Good luck! An ECG aka electrocardiogram is the one where you get pads attached to bits of your body that measures heart rhythm, echo aka ultrasound aka sonar is where they get an image of what's going on inside using the gel.
