Lol... escorts (plenty of other places though) doen't rust there, so I suspect fiesta.

I'd say Mk3> fester, or Mk5> escort. The cills are similar for both.

Those wheels weren't fitted to mk3 fiestas AFAIK. They were on mk2s.

I was thinking Ford from the wheels, but I'd have though that loads of other manufacturers used similar designs for their steelies?

Whatever it is its in a s***ty state, my 18 year old Capri has rock-solid and original-looking sills, in fact its in a better state underneath than the bloody Punto! They don't make 'em like they used too

hmm... yes you're right, but many were as well as the steel dogleg style wheel... not MkII either, may be mk 4a/b fiester then... facelifted Mk3. It could be an escort after all... perhaps a slightly zoomed out pic would aid our guesses ;)

your all wrong, its not even a ford, its a nissan micra (the one i was trying to sell in classifieds). it looks like we will have to get a full sill (only £13), but its part of the chassis, so welding should be interesting.

blimey! a micra :chin:

its not the kinda car you think of when you thik rust, or "bodge up" as the poor paint underneath in the second pic shows

I went to look at a Micra and both sills had been welded, the front frame had been welded. I liked the engine though.

Really? My mate has the 1.0 16v and it's a lot slower than my Punto, even though both cars have very similar power outputs and weights.
The 1.3 is supposed to be pretty decent though.

It was sweet sounding and sweet running.

Depends how you drive it. the 998cc DOHC 16V micra engine has bugger all torque compared with the fiat FIRE engine but really gets going in the high revs, but you have to keep it there to get the best from it.

They are quite fun cars actually IMO

It cant b bubble shaped micra like the pic serin is showin!!

It must be a mk1 when there was special editions known as the 'collette' etc!

From 1982-1990
