right was working for a company for 3 weeks before being sacked!!
basically couldnt agree some terms before the end of my trial period. no big issue there as it was onlty a temp thing.

now i was due one days wages which i was paid(eventually) for 11.5 hours which was correct.
but this was a bank holiday so im assuming im entitled to double time(though they state they dont pay double time,need to check the paperwork) plus a day in leu.

so since i dont work there i would be paid the day.

its not big money were talking about but the messed me around so i just thought i would pull them up.

anyone know a definate answer?(scottish law)

i dont know for definate but at my work you get a day in lieu OR double time. Not both.

My old work was:

Work the bank holiday = 3x Pay
Don't work the bank holiday = 1x Pay!!

well the way i understand a bank holiday(im used to salary so dont really know this stuff)is you get the day in leu regardless of whether you work it or not and the double time if you work it though i think some places dont do the double time but by law have to give the day in leu.

AFAIK you're not entitled to anything other than normal wages, a bank holiday is classed as a normal day.
