Yeah it needs to start early, so we have time to organise things. Nobody need panic do anything much untill probably about this time next year... but I'll say this now: If you want to go, you'll need to get your tickets as soon as they're available, and book accommodation as soon as you can.

I was talking this over with Chrissy (my wife) today and she's just as determined as I am to go to monaco.

I like the idea of mangy cours, but only as a last resort if the Monaco GP falls by the way side. It will be a far cheaper option but if i'm going to any GP i would choose Monaco and i think there are a few that feel this way.
The whole point of going there is because it's something that most of us normal folk would NEVER get to do in a lifetime, so lets keep our sights set high and aim for the big one

Applesei mate, if we waited till next year to start the thread, i don't think many people would have the time to get the finances sorted. This is something that will happen and i think the only way some people are going to be able to join us is by giving loads of notice.

I think for starters we need to make a copy n paste list of those that feel they would really like to do this. There's no commitment involved yet but it would be a good start to get an idea of numbers involved, then we can start to look into our options.

I'll start the list, please add your name if you would like to be included in the plans, or delete if you reconsider. Also try to estimate how many people would be joining you.

Hey just read through this topic... very intresting, but sadly I dont think this would be affordable by many people on the forum.. I would be able to afford to go etc but I am thinking of what if's and that is a serious issue, what if one of our engine's fails, what if we break down and so on.

I must say i prefare the Le Mans 24 hrs better which would still be incredibly fun and alot cheaper!

There's European breakdown cover.

Anyways, I love the sound of this. The one of driving straight there, the most, as that becomes the most fun.
