FF Monaco F1 GP trip

heh i'll be up for it :D

i'll speak to my dad, he drives a truck in france every week...i'll ask him where the best places to stop, motorways etc :) he'll be back tomorro night :)...

p.s forgot to mention i went up to stanford with Matt aka Bo Selecta, was a great day out :) thanks all for who organised it :D

hey what about mangy cours the french grand prix? but...seen as fiat is italian wht about monza? its prolly the same distance maybe less, its just outside milan.

my dad said beaune could be a option for a stop halfway to monaco :)

Slc

I would also be interested, however this thread has been started way to early, but i can understand the reasons for it startin now!

Yeah it needs to start early, so we have time to organise things. Nobody need panic do anything much untill probably about this time next year... but I'll say this now: If you want to go, you'll need to get your tickets as soon as they're available, and book accommodation as soon as you can.

as things progress KoA and myself will starts threads/polls as necessary.

I like the signature Alex (y) Nice idea :)

I was talking this over with Chrissy (my wife) today and she's just as determined as I am to go to monaco.

I like the idea of mangy cours, but only as a last resort if the Monaco GP falls by the way side. It will be a far cheaper option but if i'm going to any GP i would choose Monaco :) and i think there are a few that feel this way.
The whole point of going there is because it's something that most of us normal folk would NEVER get to do in a lifetime, so lets keep our sights set high and aim for the big one ;)

Applesei mate, if we waited till next year to start the thread, i don't think many people would have the time to get the finances sorted. This is something that will happen and i think the only way some people are going to be able to join us is by giving loads of notice.

I think for starters we need to make a copy n paste list of those that feel they would really like to do this. There's no commitment involved yet but it would be a good start to get an idea of numbers involved, then we can start to look into our options.

I'll start the list, please add your name if you would like to be included in the plans, or delete if you reconsider. Also try to estimate how many people would be joining you.

Ok, here's the Edited list... a bit of a mix up so i think we should just use our user names only in the list :D

Thanks KoA... I'm thinking about making some comemorative t-shirts/baseball hats for the event itself :D

If you're interested... and you've not already PM'd either myself or KoA please do. It'd be great to have a good number of people going, it'd make the whole thing worth while.

we're a very friendly forum... but I think thats taking things a litte far...

I don't know it could be fun. Then again I don't think I really want to see Mark(Koa) naked 'nore any bloke for that matter!(serious back pedalling here) :D

lol, i was gonna say the same thing about you Ben (y)
Hey at least i'd have somewhere to fly the Fiat Forum flag :D

Hey just read through this topic... very intresting, but sadly I dont think this would be affordable by many people on the forum.. I would be able to afford to go etc but I am thinking of what if's and that is a serious issue, what if one of our engine's fails, what if we break down and so on.

I must say i prefare the Le Mans 24 hrs better which would still be incredibly fun and alot cheaper!

There's European breakdown cover.

Anyways, I love the sound of this. The one of driving straight there, the most, as that becomes the most fun.

Count me in please (probably + 1 more).
