FF Monaco F1 GP trip

Where have you tried? A lot of the hotels I have looked at won't let you book this far in advance yet.

Just to add cheer to this thread, I got back last week from France and Belgium. Cheapest fuel we found was E1.28/litre. That's 94p, and most garages are more like E1.35 (99p). Diesel is a bargain at about 85p.

I'm in, what's LPG cost over there?
To try and assist, many years ago I went to Port Grimaud and was planning on doing it again next year as this year has been pretty much a write off following a bike accident in October.
Port Grimaud is 6 miles from Monaco and just outside St Tropez so I would probably make it our annual holiday for 2 weeks. 2 days there, 2 back and 10 days there on holiday. I don't know if this would appeal to all but it would give us all a chance both to get to know each other better and also allow time to do our own things. And don't forget time to fall out
Anticipated cost per couple is probably going to be in the region of 2500, bare in mind that euro tunnel does not suit all as some are still weary of it and also there is a new ferry offering £25 each way which has had a knock on effect with eurotunnel prices. Also bare in mind that with the amount of interest shown and the amount of cars possibly going it's not going to be one of those things where you can decide last minute.

Oh yeah this thread, Unfortuantely i wont be able to make it :( as i'll be going to america before hand so that'll sap teh cash. Aww and i really wanted to go.

TBH it looks very unlikely that I'll be doing this trip myself now.

I have something planned for a few years time that is going to need a large wad of money to achieve so anything that is unnecessary will be put to the side. Seeing as it won't be a particularly child friendly trip then I consider this to be an expense I could do without now.

Sorry if this has let anyone down, but I'm sure you'd all have more fun without me tagging along ;)

it sounds a good idea. i went to st tropez in the summer this year and took a day trip to monaco.was awsome walked round the whole track and at the time i went for 30euro's i was driven round the track in a ferriar (sp) 360convertible was amazing.however..... when i went on holiday we drove from Leicester to st tropez, using the euro tunnel.we were in a saab 93 convertible turbo, and took us just over 11hours to get there with one 10min break.and that was doing 80/90mph on the toll roads all the way down.so would take forever in a cinq.plus doing it that way cost about £70 in tolls, plus filling up costs on top.also accomidation in monte carlo is very very expensive and would be twice if not triple on gp weekend

its a trip you would have to do with more than 1 person in the car, otherwise you might aswell take the train!
I drove all of germany in one 12hour day! only did about 58mph most of the time (to keep fuel economy the nicer side of 25mpg!!!)
