Also - there are often more then 1 type of address for youtubes
You want a shorter one - like so
When i link the web address like so

Hope that helps MEP

Personally I don't like the idea of uploading peoples mistakes whilst driving to the internet. I am for dash cams, I think they are a great idea at proving accidents etc but uploading them to youtube doesn't get you anywhere. There is a roundabout near me with each lane marked out as to show where each lane goes but people who are unaware of the road layout it can be confusing, fair enough if they are unaware they should probably hang back and take a better look at where they intend to go. Often on that roundabout I get people dithering about between two lanes as they aren't sure where they are going, or they switch lanes suddenly but as long as they provide indication its never a huge problem, although annoying I can always spot these people a mile off and tend to give them as much room as possible. A 'good' driver is supposed to be prepared for people to suddenly turn without notice etc which is why we leave good braking distances etc.

I'm not saying anyone here is a bad driver but whats the point of putting the videos on the internet? I don't understand the point?

Just an opinion though.
Driving in strange areas, especially large cities, can be very confusing at times - satnav might say straight on at a roundabout but road marking can often leave you in the wrong lane. I would either carry on in the wrong lane & rely on satnav to reroute later OR, if traffic is quite light, give as much indication as possible & hope someone lets me through.
The uploads to YT tend to show drivers who do neither, they either want to beat the queue or are simply clueless & exhibit bad driving. In the example of my two uploads - even a complete stranger to the country would surely know about staying in lane? Just because a lot of drivers cut straight over a roundabout, doesn't make it right.
As for why I, personally, upload to YT - revenge is a dish best served cold. Either that or the red mist descends & I drive like a tool to stop the idiot & get out to 'show them the errror of their ways'.
As I'm driving all day long, I could get home all stressy & my driving would get worse as the day goes on, whereas having a camera helps me get over the incident quickly.
BTW, I agree about a 'good' driver being prepared for the unexpected & leaving gaps etc - but when the tools out there leave you with nowhere to go, even the best of the best can't react in time.

Ordering a one of these from a British distributer tomorrow :) can they be hard wired to an ignition source? Im guessing the massive 12v plug contains a 12v to 5v transformer?

assuming your 12v is live with ignition it will turn itself on automatically. Im tempted to wire it into the back of the 12v socket or wire in a multibox or something inside the dash board.

I only leave mine in the car when Im somewhere safe. usually I remove it when at my girlfriends (center of Bradford) or when im in a place i don't know.

I leave mine in the car all the time. It's fixed to the parcel shelf above the windscreen & so, set back a little from the screen - with no telltale signs on the screen. As screens tend to be slightly tinted & the cam is black, it's not immediately noticeable.

I think the whole 'I need to over take that one more car because I'm in a big German car' mentality is what got him.

I have to agree - even moreso after today...

Call that thick fog?! :ROFLMAO:

If it was thick fog you wouldn't have been using your main beam, it's nearly even foglamp weather tbh going by that video.

Its hard to tell in the video, but it was about 10m visibility
Fog lights were on too!
Got some footage on a dual carriage way and its pea souper
