Anyone else come across these little b***ards? How the feck are you supposed to get rid of them? They drive me barmy, even if you click on the stupid advert they won't f*** off! :bang:

Is there any software available that blocks these? The normal pop up blockers (google toolbar etc) don't affect them at all :(

EDIT: Ok, thats not actually one in the attachment, its just a really awkwardly placed picture  but it LOOKS like one, so I guess you all know the things I mean?

I am on IE, and have also never seen popups in months ;)

I do run Google toolbar, plus popup blocker in SP2, plus Norton has a blocker - but still, you get my point ;)

I use Firefox (and IE very occasionally) and the blockers for either don't block them, but I have never had a problem getting rid of them, because they have always had an X button on the top right or a close window option on the ad somewhere.

they're not popups, they're divs (dhtml elements) which have adverts in. they'll appear in most browsers, even opera/firefox etc... you can stop them by turning javaScript off, but, you browsing the web won't be as fun.

Except for the fact that Javascript is somewhat easier to turn on and off in Opera and probably Firefox. Two words - mouse gestures :p

I hate mouse gestures... I forget what I've assigned to what, and get confused.
