Anyone got any good idaes on how I can remove oil from an oil saturated carpet?

The 5L tub of oil I had behind my driver's seat has leaked and soaked the carpet through

We're looking at 500mL-1L of 'frauds finest 15W/40, so my car stinks...anyone?

I reckon it'll be hard work Tom! Plenty of scrubbing. If that fails then I think you'd need a new carpet

Try some of those absorb granules they use on workshop spills.......

Burn it off

Soak up the worst with cat litter (leave it overnight), then get hold of some water-based degreaser (something like "Muc-Off"). Spray on, let it soak in for a minute or 2, then scrub like mad. Wipe it off with a damp cloth, repeat until its gone.

Or, just buy a new carpet set!

it might be time to buy some custom made carpet!
