I think this will be pretty much the same way as the old school tachographs worked when the speedo wire (Whatever it is) goes into it so it can get the speed, the has an output cable for the actual speedo. Maybe bypass it?

It used a signal from the alternator and throttle to restrict the speed and power, not sure how but it did.

Whats it connected to? Fly by wire throttle :confused:

Yes it was connected to the throttle(fly by wire).

The PDF made the installation sound a lot more complicated than it actually was.

Quite easy to remove really, diconnected it live and negative supply, diconnected its signal wire from the alternator. Then spliced the throttle wires back together where they had been cut to connect in the Speed Limiter.

After a quick remap my mates Vivaro van now "Goes like the wind"(his words not mine).
