On wednesday 20th April while walking to work I dropped my wallet, got all the way to work decided I needed a drink cause I had some salty chips, reached into my pocket to find the wallet missing :(

I went home and cancelled all me cards straight away.

Today I got a call from HSBC bank, they called on behalf of the Metropolitan Police. They said my wallet had been handed in to a local police station with all the contents.

Contents included:

HSBC Debit Card
NatWest Debit Card
JD Style Card
Student Card
Work ID
Turnmills Membership Card

And

over £70 in cash

and it was all there. Top class person or persons who handed it in :) definately put a smile on me face.

There are nice people out there still, remember this when some dick head tries to **** you off (y)

I did the same dropped it at college a few yrs bak and it was handed in all intact and nothing missin...id cancelled all my bloody cards tho!!

you'd feel like a tit if you didn't cancel them and some goon used them for all you had

I once saw a guy lose £800 in an hour and he was totally liable for all of it

well losing £800 would and being held responsible would send me on a mini postal. but if you don't know where you left your Credit or Debit cards you should cancel em.

even if you leave em at a mates place, unless you go back for it straight away be careful. I'm not sayin you shouldn't trust your mates but you dont know your mates mates and whether your mate knows your belongins are even at their place. and if you go back and they say they haven't seen it and you know you left it there, what happens to the trust?

That's a bit of good news, you must be over the moon to get it back, money and all!

Was happy to hear that, made my day and made me think about would I have handed it in, in the same situation. If its got ID I will in future :)

Put a wee mention in your local paper to thank whoever handed it in.

Liam

I think I might have to, the person left an address on the Police Report but when I went to the shop to give whoever free cinema tickets the guy behind the counter says it were nothing to do with him and he don't know nothing about it

I remember losing my keys once on a pissed up New Years Eve and when I went to the police station there they were, I was highly chuffed, because it had the keys to my place of work at the time. That restored my faith in humanity for a good day or two.
