On the subject of geekery...

Son went to bed at a reasonable time last night and has had a over an hour nap today.

So not only did I get online for some Forza to unlock some 90s and 00s legends (the current season of unlockables is brilliant includes a 205 Rallye and the Sunny/Pulsar Gtir could have been made with me in mind).

You make me so jealous! Wish I could play with my grandchildren!

For the last couple of days we've had very high winds. It's even stripped the leaves from some of the trees! Unfortunately the wind seems to swirl it round in front of my garage door. So I have a bit of clearing up to do now:

Anyway, then I went round the back and I was cheered up by the bumble bees buzzing around in my cotoneaster hedge:

The little white flowers are just about to break and then it will look glorious then. The bees must be getting at the pollen already - must have been at least 20 or maybe more. I love watching and listening to these industrious little chaps.

This Reminds me of something....

My brother who owns a company that builds camper vans, has a little loft space above the office in his unit. This is in essence his "man cave" for want of a better word, he has a pool table up there and he also has a blue Beetle back end for a sofa..

The bloke on the Civil service twitter account who rather than resigning in the normal way decided he wanted to take the nuclear option .

I can't wait for all the additional government money in the North when on the new OS maps County Durham is shown as a surburb of London.

I'm glad Boris has been given ample opportunity to show his amazing leadership skills. All I can say is given what we already know about him regards adultery and having people beaten the dirt Cummings has on him must be absolutely abhorrent.

Very very nice, I always liked the grille detail on that model, I think it was the best looking iteration of the Punto. Really quite envy you!

I can imagine that the 40k books aren't that interesting if you're not already in that world. I've been building and painting the models for most of the last 30 years, and actually playing the game for about 5 years. There is a lot of lore been built up since GW started 40k back in the 80's, and just diving into the books without that background knowledge probably feels a bit like walking into a conversation in a foreign language, and hoping to be able to understand it.
I have been listening to the audiobooks over the last year or 2, but the minis and the game itself have always been the primary focus for me
